Did you enter the contest?
Yep.
I’m gonna win this time — I can feeel it.
Sure ya are....
Ate at the Health Camp with Billy Joe and Ed back in the early 90s. Lots of cholesterall, but damn good! Love that place, memories and all.
Did you ever hit Leslie’s Chicken Shack? It was freaking awesome! Just had to deal with the hookers and pimps and drug dealers is all. It was on old 170 (old Dallas Highway).
Never been to Leslie’s Chicken Shack.
Just damn happy to have had a double super health burger with fries and a chocolate malt!
You hung out with Billy Joe Shaver?
Dude. That guy is a legend.
One of the Original Outlaws!
Shit, wait, nevermind... you haven’t been in Texas that long... damn, I am getting old.... Sorry bro...
It was an hell of a place. Good chicken, for sure. Just in a crappy part of Waco.
Never been there.
I know nothing of Waco although we have a sister airfield there.
I have never even seen it.
Waco has been a waypoint for me all these years
Dude, Ed was my string dealer!
I still know Billy Joe. He lives on 17th and M.... I will keep that hush hush. He is an asshole, and I love him, but he is an asshole: all of my hero’s are. He’s not what/who you think he is. He is just a damn ole human like the rest of us. Leave him be. He is a lonely/desperate old man fixin to die, Billy is suicidal. Eddy’s death damn near killed him.
Eddy was my bud back in the day, before he met his mistress heroin. He played metal, I played blues/country. We smoked weed and drank together. Yeah, I don’t screw with that sh~t anymore, but yeah we did.
I don’t, can’t place Ed.
Quiet you!
Keep this on the QT LOL
Eddie is his Son?
Gosh I am stupid.
I had never heard Ed play, nor ever knew him.
Like his Pappy said in the song, he was just was a minor chord in a worn out song /s
No disrespect.
All respect is due.
Billy is human like the rest of us, just missing a couple of fingers. Let him be. I haven’t talked to him in about 5 years or so. I worry about him. He will shoot himself (he said he will, after Eddy died) one day, I cannot fix that. He is a believer in Christ and I hope that he lives to be 140, but the man is lopsided, so I cannot say much more. I need to venture down there one day to talk to him. I am afraid that I may be late in doing so.
Eddy was an amazing guitarist. Worked with his Dad on a couple/maybe 3 CD’s. They were on Austin City Limits once.
Dude! Gun talk? Put me on the list.
This is less than 50c.
