I don't know if I'd want it "legalized". Certainly decriminalized though. [...] Decriminalize, and it takes away a HUGE cash stream for all those canine shooting 300+ pound doughnut munchers that shoehorn themselves into those Swat/Seal Team 6 costumes. AND it removes any incentive for the mexican cartels to continue their imports.

I'm not sure what distinction you're making between "legalize" and "decriminalize." Only by permitting growing and selling would we thwart the doughnut munchers and Mexican cartels - how does that fall short of "legalization"?

CINC (Choomer In Chief) agrees.

Agrees with what? Not with the Libertarian candidate, who's focusing his campaign against him.

Pot was decriminalized many many years ago in CA. Long before anyone ever uttered “medical marijuana”.

That’s what I get for reading the headline, getting in a hurry and not fully reading the article!

Typically, decriminalization just removes legal sanction, under certain conditions.

Legalization in this debate is usually associated with taxing and regulating like alcohol. Which would still require law enforcement to stamp out the ‘unsafe’ home grown variety.

Then again. maybe not. I suppose people make their own beer and wine. I don’t know why they couldn’t sell little starter pot plant kits too.

It would be taxed, regulated, monitored. It makes a lot of sense to Republicans.

Real conservatives hate taxes, hate regulations and sure as Hell don't like being monitored.

Real conservatives hate outright prohibition even more. And I'm not so sure they hate regulation and monitoring of the legal mind-altering drug alcohol - I don't.

For clarity this was last year- and “aging” was said by my knowledgeable 4th generation Virginia friend who does not grow weed but is a horticulture expert. Stated it was/is a humidity/temp controlled facility. So who knows? Point was/is it existed and the lot/company numbers corresponded. I still say keep these bastards out of the issue.

BTW Virgina/Perique blends— at least pipe tobacco, get better with age if you store it in bulk (mason jars, merely warmed up in a bath of water, then put in the bacco, so that when you tighten the ring/lid and they cool they pull a slight vaccum). Burley blends and aromatics don’t make it. Deo Vindice.
