Especially since the fine citizens of Nevada insist on sticking us with Dingy Harry. ____________________________________________________________________
I don't believe he won the election honestly. His son was in charge of overseeing the voting machines with the union counting the votes.
Las Vegas is actually a pretty nice place to live or retire to. It's also a great place for events and conferences because of it's facilities. My husband used to fly air tours of the Grand Canyon from here.
There is so much more to Las Vegas than gambling! I think in the last year I was in a casino twice when my daughter visited because she wanted to shop. I was absolutely overwhelmed and exhausted. I had no idea how great the stores were and I hate to shop. I shop online as much as I can.
I killed some time one day at the Atomic Testing Museum because I got a coupon. I was disappointed I couldn't spend more time there. It was fantastic and even has a memorial room and a beam from the World Trade Center. There is just so much to do here that isn't about gambling and sex, and sad that most people only see that.
My backyard. I feel like I live in paradise. Vegas isn't all bad.
***Las Vegas restaurants in hotels have some of the slowest, least enthusiastic table service I have ever seen.***
Plus they will try to pad your bill with things you did not order. The restaurant at CIRCUS CIRCUS tried to charge us for beers we never ordered. We drank tea.
Were you really in Las Vegas ;) Here’s a bit of trivia:
“Paradise is an unincorporated town...
Paradise contains McCarran International Airport, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and most of the Las Vegas Strip, including well-known hotels such as Caesars Palace, the Bellagio, and the MGM Grand. Therefore, many tourists visiting the Las Vegas area are actually spending most of their time in Paradise, rather than in the City of Las Vegas.”
I used to chuckle at the little sign, “Welcome to the Town of Paradise” when I was driving my daughter to UNLV.
I killed some time one day at the Atomic Testing Museum because I got a coupon. I was disappointed I couldn’t spend more time there.
BTW; A couple hundred out of 3500. And their photos will be back at their hotels before they are.
Thanks for the tip! My husband and I only dated 5 days before eloping to Vegas, but one date was to the car museum in Cleveland that I wanted to see. One of the fun things in Vegas is every once in a while one gets to see a cool car.
