I've always found this strange. Why would any legal voter be put off by these signs? Its clear that Democrats really do think that reminding people of the law might disuade some of their voters. Its pathethic. I think at every polling place we should have a nice clear sign pointing out voting requirements as well as an id check. There is no excuse for not wanting to do basic verfication and not wanting to disuade illegal voters.

“Why would any legal voter be put off by these signs?”
Probably for the same reason the dems hate seeing The Ten Commandments posted anywhere- it is a list of everything they are doing wrong and being reminded they will be judged by it.

“It certainly leads to an atmosphere where some will think twice about voting”
Actually it should read: “It certainly leads to an atmosphere where some will think twice about voting TWICE.”
or
“It certainly leads to an atmosphere where some will think twice about voting ILLEGALLY.”

Legal and labor activists and community members said the signs deliberately target and seek to intimidate blacks and Hispanics, other minorities and the poor - as well as ex-convicts You just gotta love how they tell on themselves. None of those groups would be intimidated if they weren't doing something illegal.

The Republicans are going after voter fraud.
Democrats say that Republicans are targeting the Democrat base.
I agree. Nice that the Dems confirm their guilt.

my guess is conscience sparking up?
which would only happen if the person were considering doing something unlawful or against another person.

I don’t care who it scares away from voting.
The more Zero voters kept from the polls, the better.

It might scare some of the folks riding buses up from Chicago to vote in Racine. We sure don’t want to intimidate or disenfranchise these valuable cheaters. sarc

"It certainly leads to an atmosphere where some will think twice about voting,"...that's a guilty conscience talking for sure.....

This is good. They need more airtime on this “coming from them” .
Big time backfire. Not a huge sway, just one more ripple in the pond.
Each person has their own turning points.

I've always found this strange. Why would any legal voter be put off by these signs? It is the same reason a legal business owner might be put off by this sign. "Any business owner or stockholder in a company that wrongly contributes money to a political campaign is subject to stiff penalties and a full review by all regulatory agencies."

Those signs are every bit as intimidating as the signs in the bank warning that you are being recorded on camera.
They don’t seem to dissuade legitimate customers from swarming the bank...

We need to get this placed on rolling papers, EBT cards, city buses, stenciled on bongs, etc.
