Russia wants to rule the oil in the world.
They cannot do that if we are afraid to act. They want disruption there...but they do not want it a glass covered cesspool.
With Obama, there is no control in the world. With Romney, they know they can “deal.” Might not be the best deal...but they can deal. And live.

When’s that foreign policy debate?
To: Flag_This
Well, time for some new buttons, I'd say. Romney got some other buttons from his Bain / Staples days:

I am not sure our 'intelligence' is itself in working order. I say this after watching the hearing today where the blame for blaming a stupid video for spontaneous demonstrations that got 4 Americans killed was placed at the door of our 'intelligence'. I was not able to watch the hearing. A key question is, who was blaming the 'intelligence'?
BTW, (OT) Hope you've been getting some rain there.

I was not able to watch the hearing. A key question is, who was blaming the 'intelligence'? The two boobs from the State Department. Deputy Assistant Charlene Lamb (http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=cc7_1349891560) here is a flavor of her presentation... and Ambassador Patrick Kennedy. (http://www.commentarymagazine.com/2012/10/10/state-dept-meltdown-at-benghazi-hearing/)
I would recommend anyone and everyone who missed today's hearing to go to C-Span and watch for themselves.. It really is that important.
BTW, (OT) Hope you've been getting some rain there.
Not really all that much since Isaac moved north and west before heading east. Maybe this weekend. At least the heat is gone.

Be aware of 12:32AM EST, 10/11/12, the full four hour hearing is
available at CSPAN. I suspect it will show up over the next
few days in the main, or next or next CSPAN main web pages.
Do take advantage with it while it is available.
It is titled:
Congress Holds First Hearing on U.S. Consulate
Attack On Libya You can view it and book mark it for future more in depth
viewing.

Observe how few Americans edumacated since 1990 can describe the difference between Soviet and American ideologies — or even articulate the reasons why the Soviet empire had to build a wall to keep its human property inside its borders.
And the Bear awakens.

Ah, thanks for the info. I also saw a thread where James Clapper, our "Director of National Intelligence" had spoken out -- the guy makes me think that at least at the upper levels, our intelligence "efforts" have degenerated into goo.
http://www.freerepublic.com/tag/*/index
I am then left to wonder if the state of the intelligence agencies is not an even bigger scandal than the Obama Administration's handling of the aftermath of the killings?
Unfortunately, our family's finances have not sufficiently recovered to have sat service. (Still rebuilding the "rainy day fund" and other areas; need a vehicle replacement, etc.) Maybe the hearing is available on the Web, somewhere?

I'm not sure Russia wants to rule the world. I think they just want to be able to do whatever they want, wherever and whenever they want. I get the impression that they no longer care about how others are ruled, as long as those others don't get in the way.

Well your welcome. Do consider bookmarking that CSPAN, for further review in the near future or longer.

Like wise. It is 1:30AM 10/11/12. I’m tired. Been on and off the FR boards, other sites, CSPAN Congressional hearings going on fifteen hours. Time to call it a day. I do hope many have bookmarked the hearing in question to call up in the short term future for a more careful analysis as to what was brought out. Nighty nite. Do have a great upcoming day.
