I am not sure our 'intelligence' is itself in working order. I say this after watching the hearing today where the blame for blaming a stupid video for spontaneous demonstrations that got 4 Americans killed was placed at the door of our 'intelligence'.

I was not able to watch the hearing. A key question is, who was blaming the 'intelligence'?

Ah, thanks for the info. I also saw a thread where James Clapper, our "Director of National Intelligence" had spoken out -- the guy makes me think that at least at the upper levels, our intelligence "efforts" have degenerated into goo.

I am then left to wonder if the state of the intelligence agencies is not an even bigger scandal than the Obama Administration's handling of the aftermath of the killings?

Unfortunately, our family's finances have not sufficiently recovered to have sat service. (Still rebuilding the "rainy day fund" and other areas; need a vehicle replacement, etc.) Maybe the hearing is available on the Web, somewhere?

I'm not sure Russia wants to rule the world. I think they just want to be able to do whatever they want, wherever and whenever they want. I get the impression that they no longer care about how others are ruled, as long as those others don't get in the way.
