So far, we’ve only had Round One in this year’s debating wars. We won’t know if Romney’s knock-out performance last week was a fluke or if it will turn out to be the norm for the remaining Romney/Ryan vs. Obama/Biden debates.
The best corroboration will be if Paul Ryan also knocks out Joe Biden in Round Two. Then the Democrats will truly be demoralized.
The Democrats can’t afford to have another week like they’ve just gone through of the media and 67% of the debate audience praising a Republican’s outstanding performance to the skies, while expressing shock at his Democratic opponent’s public meltdown, with the polls reflecting the situation.
They made a calculated effort to go for the moron vote. They discarded Independents as a factor from the start.
