I helped with this yesterday...knock on doors and make sure likely GOP voters vote.
Well, somebody is really on the ball. I just heard this song play “No one left to blame” and the lyrics matched up pretty well with the debate. So I went to Cowboy Lyrics to read the lyrics and right there they have a place to help get Mitt Romney elected and to click and donate. So...they’re on it apparently! http://www.cowboylyrics.com/lyrics/boland-jason/no-one-left-to-blame-29852.html
What state are you from? What state were you working? Can you enlighten us with the approach? Does the GOP encourage early voting? Do they encourage rides to the poll,/take a friend, etc? Any sense how we stack up against the Dem efforts?

That's 15 times more doors and 5 times more phone calls than at this same time in 2008 -- and that's incredible....And so are our supporters. They've joined our cause and transformed this campaign into a nationwide movement. They've knocked on over 5 million doors and made over 30 million volunteer voter contacts.
So add your weekend numbers to this. Not sure if this is a function of fact that Romney is putting together an unbelievable GOTV effort or that the McCain campaign from four years ago was totally incompetent. Or maybe a combination of the two.
At any rate, this is encouraging news.
One thing I thought Romney would be great at is organization, ground game and planning.
Here’s hoping that remains true.
I cannot speak for the klingon. But I am in Broward co FL and yes the GOP encourages early voting especially absentee ballots. Rides to the polls...not so much at least not yet. We were packed like sardines in our little office in Ft Lauderdale. There were people out in the pubbie neighborhoods knocking on lots of doors and I think we ended up with 10k calls in that one office alone on Sat.
The Mclame effort in comparison was well....lame. There was no organization or paid volunteer coordinators that had incentive to get the volunteers producing. Our phones are automated and make it easy to make 100 calls an hour. Mclame’s phones were right out of the late 1970’s. I sense that I am now working for a candidate that wants this win very much.

80 calls per volunteer... pretty darn good!!
I wish there was a way to tell them to leave me the eff alone. Don’t call me anymore. I will vote and I won’t forget, geez, but if you wake my granddaughter up one more time with your stupid phone calls I will scream.
WI calling and knocking on doors too.
If we lose, it won’t be due to bad management. I’ve always said:
1. Romney is excellent in a debate and;
2. Romney is a seriously talented CEO and can run an organization.
Even though he was never my guy. . . very much hoping he’ll win.
Profit Guy, I know you didn’t ask me, but I know busloads of Californians are going to Nevada every weekend to knock on doors and phone bank (banking for those who can’t do the walking I presume). Romney campaign is underwriting.
Yes that means they don’t expect to win California, but, they are really putting effort into Nevada.
“I sense that I am now working for a candidate that wants this win very much.”
SO IMPORTANT, and that was what was missing with McCain (who I am proud to have supported as a candidate) and Bush 1, just no fire going there.
That’s good to know, thanks.
This seems to be where Romney putting his cash...not so much on TV. He will simply outwork them on the ground.
Don’t forget the volunteers from St George Utah!
