Anderson was mentioned and one of the polls had him at 7%, and this was the actual result:
Ronald Reagan clobbered Jimmy Carter winning 51.7% to Carter’s 41% — a 10 point-plus victory in the popular vote. Third place Congressman John Anderson managed a mere 6.6%.
Amazing that they had the correct outcome for Anderson and missed Reagan winning by miles.

Lets hope that the outcome will be very much like 1980.
Rasmussen, who has the overall popular vote pretty close, has Obama way ahead in PA. Things could change, but right now PA looks very blue.
”Media” isn’t the point - the critical distinctions are wire service journalism, and the subset thereof known as broadcast journalism. There is IMHO no constitutional rationale for censoring leftist fiction. And there is actually no legitimate rationale for imposition of standards of accuracy or objectivity on an independent newspaper. But members of the Associated Press could conceivably be legitimately criticized in court for membership in a cabal whose members posture as independent but who are actually tightly bound together in a collective. The AP was - according to a no-longer-extant web site I liked - found to be in violation of the Sherman Antitrust Act in 1945. Back then the AP’s mission of conservation of telegraphy bandwidth in the transmission of the news made the AP seem “too big to fail.” But in the Internet age that mission is anachronistic, and it might be thought possible to break up the AP monopoly.The central abuse inherent in the AP is the claim, contrary to logic, that journalists are objective. You cannot even attempt objectivity without being open about your own interests which might make you not be objective. And you cannot truly be open about your own interests while belonging to a mutual admiration society which you know will proclaim that you are - not are trying but actually are - objective. Not only so, but the membership of the AP was instrumental in pushing McCain-Feingold, the illegitimate “law” which “assigns" rights to certain members of the AP (tho not named as such) which it presumes to deny to the rest of the people, in contravention of the First Amendment rights of the people.
But as to broadcast journalism - which, let’s face it, is what has been the worst problem for conservatives - it suffers from not only the defect of membership in the AP collective but also is basically sponsored by the government thru the use of journalism “in the public interest” as a justification for FCC license renewal. How is it in the public interest that the public be propagandized?? It would seem that the FCC, its licensees, the broadcast networks, and the Associated Press should all be sued.

Especially about THIS team (GOP)
The shame is that R2 and the R party was handed so many gifts to use against O this year, gifts that McCain could only dream of in 2008 and I am no McCain fan as you know.
But once again I must go against the convention wisdom of many here who drink the Rush juice, I see many blunders by R2 and the GOP. I see blunders, walking right into obvious (to me) traps and wasted opportunities, some are from my looking backwards of course. But many are not.
It just doesn't look right to me. And blaming it ALL on the MSM is a cop out.
I will cut Ryan a little slack because as with Palin 2008 w McCain PR is a slave of Romney.
Actually though, if I didn't have any contrary opinions, it would it would be pointless for me to post :)
