Ah, and there, I think, you've hit on the problem. Romney isn't for anything good, but then why should he be, considering how the Republican Party has made it so that the most piddling token gesture seems a great leap. (Honestly, when was the last time they seriously tried reducing government size/scope? When was the last time they tried to overturn Roe v. Wade, when was the last time they seriously considered repeal of the NFA or GCA?)
It's all "but the other guy's worse!", well screw that! I don't want someone who's "not as bad", I want someone who is good!
As usual, we are told not this time. Sadly for some of us older ones, there won't be a next time.
I consider the 50's the best of times, but I understand why some segments of the population disagree.
“He lacks emotion - he’s vanilla, monotinous, in every speech, every interview.”
That’s the result of being everything to everybody. There’s no FIRE in his belly, making people wonder if he truly sees the danger this country is in.
“His will shall be revealed. We are happiest when we accept it.”
^^^^ this
Romney laid back and let the Democrats define him.
All is not well in GOP-e world.
Shocking!
