If China goes broke....there will be a lot of people starving...worldwide....if China cannot afford to keep up its ag output

It’s not that “if China cannot afford to keep up its AG output”. It’s can China afford to keep destroying it’s productive land and water supplies with it’s current methods of agriculture?

And they can’t, they truly are gambling there and the end result might be the effective desertification of product soil and permanent, untreatable pollution of their water supply, Rivers, lakes and aquifers.”

And before someone jumps in and says that they can place pollution controls and regenerative agricultural methods into play, they must consider the Chinese populations’ historical and cultural outlook on pollution. I’m sorry to say that it is very, very poor and I don’t think it can be corrected/redirected in time to save them.

Reminds me of a passage from the book “Brainwashing”, about British captives in SE Asia.

They'd do most anything to confound their captors, and one was a poem that, when recited with that notable British accent, left their captors suspicious, but scratching their heads at the same time:

They seek him here, they seek him there,
They seek old Mousey everywhere.
Will he be shot, or will he be hung?
That darned, elusive Mousey Dung!

CA....
