“So let it be written; so let it be done!”
Or any country
Well, it’s your spit.
This reminds me of the Cold War, when the Americans and the Soviets were waiting in anticipation of who was going to press the button first, and the entire world in state of “readiness” & paranoia for the catastrophic events to follow which more than a few were predicting. I remember as a teenager then watching documentaries on tv on nuclear war and its aftermath... very scary stuff.
I also recall some tongue in cheek comment going around back then in the UK that if Carter won the second term he would probably, accidentally, fall on that red button, whereas Reagan would know when to press it.
A difference is that mullahs are crazier than the soviets, but still have a strong sense of self-preservation, because they are inherently SELFISH, yet power-driven.
Despite all the talk, I very much doubt that Israel would use EMP or nukes with Iran. That may happen as a very last step, but I doubt it.
The reality is that if nukes were used by either side, it would affect many more countries than Iran or Israel. We might as well start believing that it will start another WW.
That said, the regime in Iran has to go. It is too bad and sad that 35 yrs of inaction, complacency and appeasement have resulted in where we are right now with the Iranian regime. It is too bad that Carter and his administration lent their support to installing that “holy man” as Carter called Khomeini, in Iran.
You’re right, from what I remember, Iran is a naturally beautiful country with varied climate, arid to tropical (UNlike Saudi Arabia, for instance). Shame though that it has been ruled by a bunch mongrels since 1979.
Not sure in the real value of destroying the country and its population, while its leadership responsible for the wreaking havoc will most definitely escape to elsewhere and do their bidding from outside Iran. In some circles it is a well known fact that they already have an exit plan from Iran. And, no there are not Saddam or the Nazis to stay behind, nor is Khamenei Hilter to kill himself. They value their own life above anything or anyone else.
I am completely surprised that Israel with renowned Mossad capabilities has not terminated some key leadership figures in Iran in 35 yrs! Doesn’t make much sense to me. Instead proposing to destroy nuke plants, etc... Going for the top leadership & their minions is going for the jugular.. And, UNlike that elusive mullah Omar or OBL, the Iranian leadership figures are very visible and accessible!
Btw, as a youngster I learned to ski in Iran!
I agree
