I was thinking of doing business with my local Car Max, now I am not.
Way to shoot yourself business in the ass Austin Ligon.
That boy was born to kiss butt.

Dems Add Business Leaders To Convention Roster
The Democratic Party is giving two prominent business leaders speaking roles at the party convention: CarMax co-founder Austin Ligon and Costco co-founder Jim Sinegal.
17,000 employees ???
Looks like someone is groveling for one of those Obamacare waivers.
Thanks for your admission Austin. If I ever need a late model second hand car, I will take my business to someone who DID build their business and is not ashamed to admit it.
“We benefited from an effective national transportation infrastructure that let us move products from one market to another, and we had cooperation and assistance from federal, state, and local governments in providing clear rules of the road that let us plan and grow our business.”
And doesn’t everybody else have access to those resources? So how come you were the one that ended up building CarMax and not anyone else?
And when you used those resources did you not pay for them?
And if the “government” built those resources they built it because we the people, the “government’s” bosses, gave them the money and hired them to build it.
You moron!
This is quite ridiculous rationale...someone had the idea and then went forward with it and recruited people to get the idea going. The roads and bridges exist from the businesses providing capital to build them and then maintain them and build more - he has it in reverse as to which made what. He’s completely wrong in his logic and rationale - obviously very partisan.
Okayyyy. You stole it like Obama and the rest of the government. Give it back if you are inclined to that view point.
Quote from CarMax co-founder Austin Ligon: “We benefited from an effective national transportation infrastructure that let us move products from one market to another, and we had cooperation and assistance from federal, state, and local governments in providing clear rules of the road that let us plan and grow our business.”
Quote from Jeff Sinegal, former CEO and co-founder of Costco: “We benefited from an effective national transportation infrastructure that let us move products from one market to another, and we had cooperation and assistance from federal, state, and local governments in providing clear rules of the road that let us plan and grow our business.”
Interesting how by coincidence they happened to write the exact same paragraph, word for word. /s/
They didn’t write that...someone else made that happen. Like someone from the WH and their lame talking points. How messed up is that? I’m glad Sinegal is no longer associated with Costco, because I love that place. It would be difficult, but I would boycott Costco. CarMax? Never been, never will.
