Well, that’s a fairly damning story.
They know how he feels about the military so why respond?
Hogwash. Who writes this drivel? The duty of the commander in chief is to order the military into action for the good of the nation. Making campaign speeches to the troops and using them as props has a long history, but it's not a "Constitutional duty."
I’m proud of our well-trained soldiers. To be silent for Barack Obama is far more polite than that anti-American communist deserves. It took a great deal of respect for the office that Obama claims to hold and a great deal of foresight regarding UCMJ punishments for disrespect for them to restrain their natural reactions to the sight of that man.
And their reward for their lack of proper attitude will be a very fast turn around and return to the sand box.
Is there video yet of his visit to Ft. Bliss?
Using soldiers as props for your political agenda?...He’s lucky he didn’t get a Bronx Cheer!
Any video of the actual speech?
Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day. Way to go Ft. Bliss. Only thing more perfect would have been to have an empty chair right in the front row.
These warriors have to deal with this morons rules of engagement. It doesn’t surprise me at all that they look askance at a CIC whose policies make it more likely that they or their buddies come home hurt or in a body bag.
I hope he wasn’t trying to use this opportunity for a fund-raiser.
But who knows, this may be the most generous audience he will have from now to November.
The faces of the men in the background say it all !
God bless our Military. God bless America. May we have another CiC please...
That picture really does say it all, doesn’t it?
The headline should have included, “As Usual”. The difference between a Bush speech to soldiers and an Obama speech to soldiers is and has ALWAYS been 100%.
The troops are required to be polite in such situations.
Plus his demand for repeal of DADT and a review to include women in combat.
...”Any video of the actual speech?”...
Twenty eight minutes if you want to watch.....
