Biden has specific advantages over Ryan: his lengthy time in Congress and particularly, his lengthy tenure on the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, give him an edge. I’ll make a prediction that the lefty “moderators” will ask some real arcane questions that Biden will be more prepared to answer than Ryan and Biden, being Biden will make a showy answer, dropping names of obscure ministers he’s personal friends with, etc. The same applies to Biden’s experience on the Judiciary Committee: they’ll ask questions tailored to Biden’s experience and knowledge of the nominating process, and specific issues relating to the Justice department operations, etc.
