What’s funny is all they kept saying about Carter was what a nice guy he was. Obama really is Carter II, even in the most nuanced detail.

The more things change...

He damn well better, or he ain't gonna win. If he does win, he damn well better stick to being different, too.

He has been running for President for at least six years. His speech tonight better be the most incredible speech in the HISTORY of the United States. He better put George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abe Lincoln, JFK and Ronald Reagan to shame with his speech. It best be the type of speech that in 2280, they are STILL talking about it. Yep a lot of pressure, but he is the one that ones to be President so badly.

How does Obama have such high liability numbers.
He is a condescending, detached little pr@k.

There are TONS of people who lose their jobs and are nice people. Obama was not ready for the job. Nice or not, he needs to go. I still to this day believe that he was running in 2008 to get his feet wet and name out there. He never thought it would go as far as it did. He should have waited at least until 2020 to run for real. Oh well, too bad for him.

He’s black. People like him for that reason. His personality is cold and self-absorbed.

He also hisses his s’s when speaking. Has third rate black preacher mode he goes into. His last two convention speeches were motivational only. Zero content.

Romney is different from obozo but if Romney becomes the next president his bosses will be the same ones obozo has. For a real difference, removing the power elite's and their influence from our government is the key.

Romney Pins Hopes on Being Different From Obama

As opposed to the alternative?

"Romney Pins Hopes on Being The Same As Obama"

Nah. Only the ABR crowd would make such a statement.

Romney needs to be solid. Present himself as a (relatively) normal guy who loves the country and has a real plan for turning things around.

If he can end tonight with those impressions in people’s minds, he will have accomplished all he needed to do.

Anybody remember an election where the Republican candidate didn’t expect (nay, demand) support from independent conservatives because he’s “not the Democrat”?

According to MSNBC, that means Romney is not black

I am definitely a ABR person but since he slithered his way into the nomination and has been running for six years, there is zero reason why it can’t be a “hit out of the park” type of speech.

I should be clear, I don’t think Obama is nice “(or that Carter was. He was a real nasty prick in person, from what I’ve heard.). Both Obama and Carter are cut from the same despot cloth.

My point was how the whole thing is playing out exactly the same, even down to the media’s BS playbook.

More funny; is that the 'truth' of Carter; is that he was never a 'nice' guy; and of course; neither is Obama. . .

Seems that all those in the grips of Liberalism/Leftism per Marxist roots; are cut from the same cloth. Appears to be a 'chicken/egg' MO per the Left leadership; from lowest to highest. (From the wannabe, leader-neighbor next door; from the Lefty bureaucrat to Oval Office). The 'inclinations' are same.

(Guaranteed; these people can only try to 'imagine' the concept of altruism/patriotism. . .) Would add as well; another commonality; incredible narcissism; in the mind of the Lefty. Have to have it; to 'believe' in Leftist MO.

Think Hayak nailed it; with 'The Fatal Conceit'. The perversion of truth could not make sense to them; without first; their 'core narcissism'. This is a collective - group - think wrapped in 'self'.

The difference is Obama isn’t a nice person, he’s a petty little narcicist. Nothing about this guy is nice. Nice guys don’t flip their opponents the bird, they don’t “point out” they are the president. This guys a pathetic mean nasty little man. The portrayal of this fool as a nice guy is a media invented persona, the person underneath is nastier than Nixon ever was.

Yeah, at this point, I’m a one-issue voter, and “different from Obama” is the issue.

Only if different means just at a slower speed on the same track as hussein, then he will. Anyone with any guts wouldn't merely be pinning any hopes but come out gangbusters. All I've seen Mitt do is flash his pearly whites like a used car salesman.
