We have them. Enforce them.
What is not compassionate about ‘get in line’?
GOING FOR HISPANIC VOTE???????? WILL NEED IT IN SOME STATES.I thought she did a great job of explaining why we need to vote Obama out without scaring people.
Already have a compassionate immigration policy which allows 1.2 million or more legal immigrants and refugees per year.
Bring all the troops home, get out of the Foreign entanglements, then put the troops on the southern border and seal it shut.
Then tell Mexico to Pound Sand and go to Hell, if that isn’t enough take over their Oil Fields and extract past, present and future payments for their immigration problem.
And, by the way, when are one of these republican stars going to call for compassion for American citizens who have to foot the bill for our ridiculously lax immigration policy?
I caught that line, too. I’ve never been a fan of Condi, but other than that line, the speech was excellent and well delivered. It left me with the unmistakable impression she was positioning herself for a role in the Romney administration or, more likely, a run for the WH in 2016.
Obama supporting lesbian Arabist wants us to import more people who are aggrieved, poor and are natural Democrats? Why is she allowed in the same room as sane people?
Well Condi, you pay for their babies births, housing, education, health care, and seniors care because I am sick and tired of it. I guess I have no compassion.
Thru the decades this country has spent hundreds of billions of dollars on illegals.
What about the laws we already have?
DEPORT THEM ALL!!!
Compassion to legal immigrants who contribute to the betterment of America is admirable. Keeping America great enough to attract them is a good beginning. Compassion to illegal invaders who will help destroy this country, through dependency on government and leftist politics is foolishness. It is better to be compassionate to our own citizens and children.
Compassionate equals ENFORCE EXISTING LAW!
She is an amazing woman. Awfully glad she’s on our side.
I’m curious to discover which federal laws Condi suggests I can ignore.
Oh, you know, you guys, I just hate it when Michael Savage is right.
This convention is vanilla.
GRRR.
Anyway, back to the subject.
Hey! Condi! As soon as they are compassionate about my not speaking Spanish, and trust me on this one, it is a daily combat, I’ll consider being compassionate.
Compassionate is utilizing the laws on the books which protect our country.
A little compassion toward the poeple that made this country and made it great.
Condi Go Home.
Aside from the implied “I’m squishy on illegal immigration” it was a good speech.
Compasionate?
How about everyone waits in line and jumps through the very same hoops as everyone else? I can’t think of anything more compasionate than that.
At least we’ll know those people actually want to be here, and become American Citizens, and not just to suckle at the taxpayer’s teat.
