If somebody told you it was raining outside would you automatically believe them or would you go look out the window or door to see for yourself if it was in fact raining?
And if you did go and look for yourself and you see that it isn't raining what would you do? Would you confront them or let it go? If you let it go what do you do the next time that same person tells you it is raining? Do you take their word for it again that it is raining?
Or perhaps you decide to confront the person who told you it was raining when you saw that it wasn't. They reply with...
"You're so gullible. I told you a truth. Somewhere in the world it is raining and you just assumed I meant it was raining here."
When do you say "I've had enough" and demand proof before you believe a thing they say?
I think video would have exposed the perps as people the Republcan delegates had never seen before. I think video would have been far more likely had the incident been legit. Wouldn’t you turn the camera on people who were taunting you? I would, as surreptiously as possible.
When someone tells me it’s raining outside the first thing I do is shout, “LIAR!”
Were they assalted peanuts?
Whether they are racists or phony racists, or whatever they are, they deserve the full weight of the public condemnation coming to them and the rest of us deserve to know what really happened. As it stands it's an empty accusation.
