Possibly the stupiest comment ever made. Even if the RINOs think Akin can win they will not support him. So tell me Mr. Priebus if he runs and loses by a fraction of a point and the senate stays with the democrats and ObamaCare can not be overturned, whose fault will it be?

The Akin’s comments are hurting many races around the country, even has implications in the presidential race. Those who think MO voters are the only ones affected are in denial as to how widespread the damage is. Akin went from an obscure candidate for MO Senator to a national joke...to both Republicans and Democrats. Just when the Senate and Presidency are within reach, he strikes with a stupid comment. Makes the Dems’ stereotypical “Republicans are Neanderthals” argument for them. It’s not just about Akin and HIS desires.

if the GOP supports Akin in any way, it ties the party to him and his views (the corrupt MSM and Dems will make sure of it!)...it would hurt the party at large...i agree send him nothing, and continue to pressure him to drop out

Wow. Can we spell “hypocrite?

LOL! This from the same people who actually WANT Obama to win to teach the GOP a lesson? The same who won't vote for Romney even if there is a chance he'd win with your vote?

My view on contributions to the RNC. Individual candidates only.

Akin said some stupid things in an interview. The RNC hasn’t quit its stupidity since. Get rid of all of them.

and he contiuned...”now if it were a candidate who lost in the primary to a TEA party candidate, and was orchestrating a write-in campaign using questionable balloting methods, well sure, we’d help that candidate out.”

The GOP made their decision based on the long term and widespread damage any association with Akin would bring. Just think about it for a moment this is the trap the MSM/Dems hope the GOP falls into.

Once you support Akin you become Akin forever and ever.
I don’t want to face these arguments for the next 4 years. Akin made his bed he can sleep in it.

PS There is not a snow balls chance in hell Akin gets within 5 pts of McCaskill, so this is really a non issue.

The GOP wants to overturn the results of the primary because they don't like who the MO GOP selected.

They are using this misstatement as a pretext.

The election is Mich. was suppose to be over because of a GOP gaffe as well, but he is now coming back.

Priebus: “Destroying the career of a staunchly conservative Republican because he read an article and mistakenly believed it to be accurate is more important to me than stopping the Democrats’ socialist takeover of the U.S. economy.”

Next time a republcian tells me I have to support a liberal, statist republican because they are so much better than the liberal, statist democrat, I'll just point them to this article. I'm sorry, but the standard fear tactics aren't inducing me to play their game any more.

Oh, you thought that when the RNC and the other folks said “Get out!” and Todd said “No!” and they said “Fine, then, we’re cutting off your funds!” and he said “Fine, then, screw all y’all, butt out, God and my supporters will provide!” and they said “Well...’bye...”, they were just kidding about the “Well...’bye...”? You thought he could tell the RNC and those other guys “screw all y’all” and not actually suffer any consequences from it. Sort of like you thought he could just hang tough and this would all blow over in a week or so.

Oops.
