Well, exactly.
Take a person who's natural instincts are toward conservatism, feed him or her on a steady diet of the MSM and pop culture for a few years, and the end product is an Obama voter.
Which is why the "Media DeathWatch" posters here are 100 percent delusional.
Well this is terrible but not surprising to me.
I’ve taken a lot of heat here for this, but I am sticking to my opinion that I think Obama is going to win. There are many people who like sitting on their fat behinds all day collecting government checks.
I hate thinking it but I do. Obama is going to win.
Could not agree more. WaPo has Romney over Obama with a D+7 sample and Romney up 4 with indies. Both polls can not be right, MOE or no MOE. I think the WaPo poll better represents reality.
I can’t get into the internals (not a subscrber), but so what? Is the lead within the margin of error? What is the trend line? Is Obama above 50% in any of those states? Just asking...
Very true.

An interesting take away: if you go back and look at where McCain was on 8-27-2008 in the same daily tracking poll, McCain was up one point where willard is down 3. I do think its too early to put down final bets and I’ll want to see what sort of bounce there is from willard-fest, but it isn’t looking pretty for willard right this moment.
One thing I can say though is that here in VA willard finally broke into the double digits in my highly unscientific bumper sticker/lawn sign count.
“Too early yet. Wait until Labor Day when the politicking gets going in ernest. The Akin effect will become less and less.”
If Israel attacks Iran, not many will remember who Todd Akin -was-.... :)
Remember Donald Rumsfeld, who was pilloried in the press for talking about “the known unknowns” vs. “the unknown unknowns”?
The Akin imbroglio was an example of an unknown-unknown injecting itself into the campaign (who would have thought that Mr. Akin was capable of a faux pas of that magnitude, even though we know his heart is in the right place?).
Israel/Iran is a “known-unknown”. But it’s probably coming...
And when it arrives, it will eclipse much of what currently is “news”...

It is called the “fog of war.”
I was wondering if anyone else would notice the other canddiate numbers. It would be interesting to see what they were in 2008.
Rasmussen is a republican pollster. He’s trying to give the appearance of being impartial. Rasmussen is the only poll that not over-sample democrats. He’ll probably have Willard up tomorrow.
Only a Neanderthal would call this poll fixing.
I’m not ready to put my final bet on the table yet but I’m tending towards a hussein win as well. And its not because team willard is doing a bad job. Given the dud of a candidate they have to work with, I think they’ve been doing a fantastic job.
This is going to boil down to what most elections boil down to: turnout of the respective bases. And from where I’m sitting here in VA, the enthusiasm just isn’t there. Maybe that’ll change. Maybe it won’t. Given the inherent advantages of incumbency and a better gotv infrastructure I think its the dems to lose. I would take another look in about 3 weeks. If willard is less than say 3-4 points ahead then I think you have your answer.

Gallup has Romney ahead today and gaybama w 45% approval.
Rasmussen is off a bit
I brought mine down the day of Obama’s inauguration and it’s stayed down, and it will stay down until he is out of our White House.
If Obama wins, I will raise her to half-mast for one day. The next day she will come down and I will raise the Confederate Flag, then the Gladstone flag. I will no longer care who in the hell I might insult.
You sure as heck better be right.
Ras has shown a Zero spike almost every weekend this month. It might fix itself tomorrow. Or it could be Akin.
By this time next week, Romney better be on fire or he is very likely going to lose. I think we tend to forget just how suicidal the American people really are.
We now have the most ignorant electorate in the history of American elections. I believe we have the most corrupt government and media our country has ever seen. Romney has got to quit playing nice guy and quit pissing off the real conservitives.
Obama has gotta go.....

The trend is going in the right direction and mittens has not even spent much as of yet.
ABC up by 1
Gallup up by 1
Michigan/Wis - tied
My flagpole will share time between my Gadsden flag and that of my ethnic heritage, Ireland.
