That’s hysterical.

Ron Paul is not as tough on Romney as the dead-enders around here.

Romney is a 65 year old liberal Republican for most of his political life - what makes you think that he is going to “get the picture” about conservativism now?

Just looking at what he and his people are doing in the RNC convention meetings as reports are coming out points to him shuting out grassroots conservatives chance to mount a serious challenge to him in 2016, he is stacking the deck with establishment people. He isn’t gong to change, now I agre that he will be talking the talk but nowhere do I think he will be walking the walk.

Oh I forgot the liberal Romney fan club are out in full force tonight. Lord can you guys get any principles at all? Just once??? Logical me, you clearly have a crush on Romney if you believe that mess you just typed.

Principles and common sense are not mutually exclusive.

Halting the Obama destruction is a principled and common sense position, and does not make one a "liberal".

The principle of Damage Mitigation is a legitimate Conservative Principle.

They need to tell RP he can no longer run on the Republican ticket since he is a Libertarian. Tell him to run on the Dem ticket.

I reserve the right to make a greatness claim after I see the results of policy. I voted for Bush thinking that he would be great, thank god it's not on tape or on the net, I'm not sure how I would live that one down. Being wrong is not a crime but it can be very embarrassing.

I believe Ron Paul is a registered Republican.

Ironically, his political positions are far more conservative, constitutionalist, pro-2nd and pro-life than the presumptive R nominee.

So should we then ask the presumptive R nominee to run as a Democrat instead of a R? Or maybe national socialist would be a better fit? (I’m not aware of a substantial difference?)

That is the crux of the matter.

Now darn it, quit being logical! :)

Ron Paul is retiring at the end of this term. The new standard barer of conservative libertarianism is his son Rand Paul, possible presidential candidate in 8-12 years!

Paul should humble himself, and think of the country first.

WRONG! Romney should have humbled himself and thought of USA first by stepping down OR not LIED about Newt his way through - he won nothing, he manipulated it like an athletic on steroids!

he would endorse the Republican nominee

Because he thought for sure it would be NEWT - clearly the BEST candidate. That's why Romney needed his millions of dollars of lying attack ads 24/7 against NEWT and to keep him off the ballot in VA!

Ron Paul on Romney: ‘I don’t fully endorse him for president’

Ron Paul will never endorse a warmonger and Romney will be every bit as bad as Bush and Obama were. I believe in defending this country, but I do not believe in endless nation building and pissing away billions and billions of dollars in some Middle Eastern catbox year after year. Obama does and so does Romney. Of all the ones that had a chance at the nomination this year Rick Perry and Newt Gingrich were the only ones that would think twice for starting another war. In a perfect world Newt Gingrich would be the GOP nominee for president, win and make Rick Perry his Sec of Defense. Romney could challenge them as a democrat in 2016.

However, since Romney has been nominated

Not yet, Issac has to speak first! The meaning of Issac is "laughter".

Nah...he'd rather put OBozo back in-charge for another term.

we all would require the same thing.

No. A liberal asking a conservative would be required.

In this case, "Paul supporters should get angry and just stay home."

Don't be so overly dramatic - it is their country, also!!

What? I don’t think I’d go *that* far. All I want is for 0bama & the dimwit useful idiots to get thrown out of office. We’ll deal with the rest of it after, but that is Job One.

While I agree wrt the Federal Reserve stuff, I will never understand the attraction people have to Ron Paul. He’s so...excitable. I tune him out when he starts revving up. (Santorum affected me almost the same way. I’m probably not going to listen to Mitt much more than I do 0bama.)

If I’m wrong, I will enthusiastically accept your I-told-you-so.

If in four years, Romney brings unemployment under 5%

HE couldn't even do it his state, MA. It was 47th in the nation under his admin.
