from “45 COMMUNIST GOALS FOR TAKE-OVER OF AMERICA “ (1963)
# 39 :Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
Amen to that. The thought of being able to enforce ones will on others through government control is a powerful aphrodisiac to many, regardless of their political affiliations.
Yep!
Another thread here with text of one of this guys post:

With luck, Mr. Raub will be able to buy a LOT of firearms and related goodies after he sues the HELL out of every one of these thugs.

“Now is the time for retribution. How does Raub get his pound of flesh?”

There is related legislation that exposes the offenders to personal liability in tort, but I have forgotten the statutes. Harder to win even that attorney malfeasance cases though. It is rare.
It looks to me that local police were involved. However what is more ominous/scary is the number of plain clothes guy involved. I’m hoping all these guys are identified and can be personally sued and punished. For years I have warned and talked against persons acting under the color of government to do just what is shown. It appears to me that allowing some people to have such aggressive behavior shows very poor standards. We must be very watchful to prevent a Gestapo in this Nation.
This is like reading a chapter right out of the novel Unintended Consequences.
This is like reading a chapter right out of the novel Unintended Consequences.
Yep!!!
Its more than the Federal LEO’s...IMHO..its who their REAL employers are..that are starting to get twitchy...
I’m still wondering why the FBI kidnapped a 5 year old from his home and sentenced to live in Cuba.
Then there’s WACO.
What they did to Randy Weaver was also very scary.
Since I'm not living in a compound or living in as Randy Weaver did, I can be scared to my limit and be outraged by the abuse of power in both, but I don't see myself as being in their position, so both of those still had the element of "It can't happen to me."
What makes this the single most scary incident is that this is something that could happen to me or to you or any friend or neighbor or coworker.
Who hasn't said something someone in power wouldn't take offense about?
That's why this is scary.
It's another harbinger that's even bigger and more in your face than the last ones.
If we couldn't be bothered that SWAT teams like to break down the doors, shoot the dogs and take us away in a wrong address no knock drug bust, this certainly won't bother those who love their police state.
Yep, scariest thing yet...and as you and others point out, we have a lot to compare it to, so that's really saying something!
There is an excellent presentation on TED on a psychologist who is going through the “psychopath diagnostic checklist” and starts interviewing CEOs to see if they fit. Then he meets a guy at a mental institution who cannot get out because he’s classified as a psychopath.
The guy says he did it to avoid a five year sentence on car theft, is left in for 12 years because he’s classified as a psychopath. Contradicting check boxes say “must show remorse for bad deeds” but “cunning and manipulative’ means shows of remorse in an effort to get out mean you are still a “psychopath”.
In short, once in, it is hard to get out or at least past the diagnosis of crazy. You get fewer rights and no legal help compared to incarceration.
