"You can shoot up a Family Research Council office while holding a Chick-Fil-A bag and not get near the coverage."

I think we have a winner~!!

If this blows MO for Romney/Ryan, the Dems could run the table and get all three. We went from probably winning all three to possibly losing all three. The name “Akin” will always taste like bile in my mouth.

All around the world, third world dictators are marveling at the obama pressitutes and thinking, “I wish my country’s media was so compliant.”

It’s not what I tell myself. It’s what has happened historically under similar situations I look at. History is on my side.

That being said, the man has a right to stay in. His state has a right to keep him in. But winning the US Senate is not a right.

Somebody has to make a choice for the good of the party.

Akin could put his country ahead of his own ego and stop the bleeding, but he`s convinced his candidacy is “providential.”

So while he sits there in hiding, convinced God wants him to stay in the race, the ripples of his gaffe continue to grow wider.

Yup, but he won’t put the country first. Just by looking at his picture you get the feeling he thinks he is bigger than the country.

Saturation is key to a good propaganda campaign. If people hear something often enough, it will sink in without them even questioning it.

Yea, it happened in a year when the wind was in our face. When the wind was at our back, stuff like this happens and it has NO EFFECT nationally.

Also.. A congressman having homo contact with Page’s is not the same thing as someone guy saying something stupid. Nowhere near.

He [Limbaugh] won't touch it out of the box.

I think he got to it second. He spent the last ten minutes on it.

Anatomy of a Mainstream Media Smear Job

The old fashioned term, no longer much in use, comes to mind here.

RED HERRING
Something intended to divert attention from the real matter at hand; a misleading clue.

Dictionary.com

I have at hand this statement in the venerable, but now left leaning Canadian major newspaper. I hope to be given a pass, because it is from Canada. It simply puts the whole obscene charade in perspective.

"Scott Akin's comment about rape not only puts his run for a senate seat in jeopardy, it risks derailing the whole GOP campaign.....
Despite his attempts at damage control, he left Republicans across the country reeling- and perhaps wondering how the party let a sure thing turn into such a mess."

Conrad Yakabuski. (Globe and Mail).

The pertinent questions that need to be asked of the likes of Yakabuski could be posed thus:

(1) How does this affect a person who needs a job?

(2) How does this affect a person who does not have enough money, working or not, to pay their bills. Bills such as mortage, groceries, gasoline and so on.?

In short, what in the name of reason, does it really matter?

I hadn’t thought about it before, but Akin’s right.
He basically believes that even a baby conceived by rape is sacred.
He’s right, the baby didn’t do anything wrong. Why kill it?

The wind REALLY was not in our face in 2006. In fact I'd take back those 4% - 5% unemployment rates (declared by the dems as the worst economy since Hoover)anyday.

The wind in our face in 2006 was because we simply refused to close the windows. In other words, we didn't stand up for ourselves.

Keep living in your “Mark Foley Fantasy” tsowellfan..

http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2006-05-08-bush-approval_x.htm - Bush Approval Rating falls to 31% in May 2006.

Whatever you have to tell yourself.

If a tree falls in the forest, and only CNN is there to cover it, did it in fact fall?

You need to study politics a bit more. They are going to saturation-bomb the StuPublicans with this. Akin needs to drop out YESTERDAY, and they need to stick a woman in against Claire McCackle.

Exactly! Thanks for proving my point by explaining the power of the liberal media. Bush was at 31% with an unemployment rate nearly half of this current President's unemployment rate. The only wind in our face was the wind coming from the MSM media. And they can do it again (if we give them an issue)

“I bet CNN is glad there are no other problems left in this country. A Republican said something stupid so they can cover it and bring you the lastest updates 24/7~!!”

But CNN can’t find the time to cover a 54-yr old elected Democrat pedophile stalking a 17-yr old teen on facebook, then meeting him in the bushes for a blow job at a highway rest stop.

They have priorities, doncha know.

“CNN ratings are in the toilet. MSNBC isnt taken seriously. NPR audience are left-wingers. Let them hyperventilate.”

THEY set the narrative.
You discount the power of media propaganda at your own peril.

Have you already forgotten 2006, and 2008??

His rate was at 31% BECAUSE OF THE WAR! PERIOD! Nobody cared about the economy. Everybody wanted out of Iraq and Afghanistan! That’s why GOP got clobbered in 2006.. It had **NOTHING** to do with some random congressman in Florida.

Wake up from your fantasy!!
