Yes...
I fid it interesting that no one is discusssing McCaskill’s “sly” ad campaign regarding Akin, in the primary, as it relates to the present situation. (I’m not from MO, but am close enough to have become rather ill from some of the ad bombardment, both Pub and Dem, as the date of the Primary drew near.) Though Steelman would not have been my 1st choice (past tense), if I did live in MO, at least her “support from Palin” ads were positive in tone, as were Brunner’s early ads (at least the ones I remember seeing).
Moreover, McCaskill’s saying that Akin should stay in the race is quite enough to convince me that he should be canned... yesterday.
Yes, many see, but Good Lord, as a SEMO (local University) pol science teacher said on TV this evening, he was surprised to see Akin make such a damn fool (my words) mistake, as after all Akin is a 6 term Congressman. You’d think he (and others!) would recognize the game by now, and know better how to avoid it.
The MSM will not let this fizzle out, so short of something like Israel attacking Iran, to divert attention, the die is cast.
My opinion is that even though I found Brunner preferable in the primary, Steelman now makes the most sense if the GOP wants to win this seat. I know that’s not “fair” to him, but the situation is what it is.
Otherwise I’m largely in agreement with you, and I think most of us appreciate the support and comments of our freedom loving friends in Canada.
Steelman is a homewrecker and Missourians know that
