I can’t believe any Conservative Tea Party types would vote for Thompson, but some FR posters indicate they might.

He is a proven Globalist who is pushing for world wide socialism to be implemented it our country.

This race is a clear example of where primaries should have runoffs.

I strongly doubt that either Thompson or Neumann would win a runoff with either Hovde or Fitzgerald.

Thompson's time is past and he's not a great bet to be a conservative reformed in the Senate; Neumann blew his chance against Feingold and has spent the years since trying to get back into office and generally made himself into an annoyance while the rest of the party unified to achieve real reforms.

You wonder why some conservatives will vote for Thompson today? Because Neumann lost to a Marxist the last time he ran for Senate and they don't want to take the chance of that happening again with Tammy Baldwin.

Yes, it’s apparant you don’t like Neumann.

(I think he also caused global warming.)

But then you won’t be voting in this race, and neither will I

This could just as easily mean one in five voters are not telling strangers how they are voting in the election for fear of being tagged for leftist union thugery.

Go Tea Party!

LOL good point!

It never actually necessarily means undecided, it’s just that there are only 3 choices.

The latest poll of the race (Aug 8-9) shows:

Eric Hovde 27
Tommy Thompson 25
Mark Neumann 24
Jeff Fitzgerald 15
Undecided 9

As you can see, 9% is not 1 in 5.

Hovde has a big lead among voters who are very excited about the election, reflecting the energy FReepers on the ground have reported, which will probably translate into a narrow win today.

I'm thinking it will be something like:

Hovde 32
Thompson 27
Neumann 23
Fitzgerald 18

U.S. Senate race is too close to call!.
We will fight until the polls close tonight
 .
The U.S. Senate race in Wisconsin has shaped up to be nearly a 4-way tie and could be anyone's for the taking.   The deciding factor will be which candidate was able to connect with the large amount of undecided voters in these last couple of days before the election and through election day today.
.
.
There is no doubt that it will be a very close race and we need to campaign for Mark Neumann until the very end - we can't come up short!
..
It's coming down to the wire.

Here is The Poll cited in this thread header:

Milwaukee, Wis. – A new Marquette Law School Poll finds former Governor Tommy Thompson holding a 28 percent to 20 percent lead over businessman Eric Hovdein next week’s Republican primary for U.S. Senate. Former Congressman Mark Neumann has the support of 18 percent and Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald 13 percent.

A substantial 21 percent remain undecided. The race has tightened since the July 5-8 Marquette Law School Poll, which found Thompson with 35 percent , Hovde at 23 percent , Neumann at 10 percent and Fitzgerald at 6 percent. Twenty-five percent were undecided in the July poll.

Globalist Thompson went down, Hovde decreased, and Neumann and Fitzgerald went up.

Neumann increased the most.

I don't put much stock in polls because they vary widely and are usualy skewed for desired results, but there ya go.

Syncro, Did you and/or your friends acting as Moderators remove my very simple request to state your reasoning why you think is superior to the other 3 candidates?

You've avoided answering the question for nearly a week while carpet bombing your Neumann propaganda?

You've alluded to others conspiring against you. I think you and friendly moderators are conspiring against anyone who questions your obsessive preoccupation with a race you can't vote in.

JimRob - if this is going on, you need to put a stop to Syncro's antics and pronto!

Moderator,
Please FReepmail me with an explanation as to why my post was removed.

Or why my post was removed and Syncro's posts (many of which have contained personal attacks) were not.

I think I have posted enough enformation for you to figure out why I support Neumann.

I have no problem posting back and forth with posters that are cordial and sincere.

You start out with you carpet bombing nonsense, then call me a pimp.

I don’t owe you any explainations, I think my posts speak for themselves.

I post info that illustrates my position on this race, but you seem determined to get me to post something so you can continue to degrade the candidate I support, as well as petty little attacks on me.

You don’t seem to have a problem with the “obsessive preoccupation” with this race from your buddies, even though some of them don’t live in WI either.

Politics is a pretty heated subject, if it’s too hot for you, don’t participate.

Your statement to not vote for anyone I support would get Cruz and Murdock and many other tea party supported conservativess not supported, if people listen to you.

National Tea Party groups have been involved in political races all over this country ever since the TPM started.

Live with it.

Click on the donation link on the last “carpet bombing pimping press release” I posted and you will see it is a dead link.

Afraid to do so, think it may suck money out of your wallet?

On the smokey back room thread, you can see all the false accusations towards me that I refuted, and posted the attacks on me which were pretty vicious and childish.

Heck, I was accused of calling one of your carpet bagging friends a troll, while in fact he called ME one.

Then blamed it on me LOL!

Go to that thread, I’d be glad to play with you and your friends there.

And I won’t ping anyone else to help me.

I asked the mods to remove some posts so this thread could stay on subject with out a lot of spamming of the same stuff like on the smokey back room thread.

BTW, I can vote anywhere I want to, I am a registered democrat. (Do you have a sense of humor)

Have always voted legally and conservative though.

By the way, this site has been a cosponsor with the Tea Party Express on many tours. I’ve traveled across country with them many times and attended maybe a couple hundred of their tea parties from coast to coast and Syncro even more so. I don’t always agree with their every pick of candidates to support, but I do support their tea party causes to the hilt.

I’d appreciate it very much if you would just stay off the TPX threads rather than attempt to interrupt or hijack them.

Thanks

No thread hijacking from me, Mr. Robinson. I've been on subject.

It's your site. You can do what you want with your site, but I think you are grossly incorrect in your assessment on this particular issue.

I hven't been on ANY TPX threads. And I haven't sought out Syncro. As a Wisconsin FReeper, I've been on Wisconsin Senate primary threads. Everytime I go to a Wisconsin thread, Syncro has already been there muckraking.

I'd appreciate it if you would tell Syncro to stay off of Wisconsin threads.

Thanks again for commenting, but Syncro is the one engaged in thread hijacking. And I will do my very best to ignore him in the future.

I don’t know. Syncro spent a lot of time in Wisconsin with the TPX supporting Walker and other candidates. Hopefully you two can either work out your differences or just try to avoid each other. But he will continue posting on every state board with my blessings as the TPX supports conservative candidates in every state and he participates in nearly every tour. I’d be right there with him, but I can’t afford to travel so much anymore. I greatly appreciate Syncro and the TPX and wish them continuing great success.

Yes you have.

This one.

And another one titled "Support Mark Neumann Bus Tour [Tea Party Express: WI and MO]" posted Aug 6. You and others hijacked that thread so bad I asked to have it moved to the smokey back room so the over the top comments wouldn't be removed.

You were also on the one titled " Tea Party Express Endorses Mark Neumann for U.S. Senate (3 Day Tour)" posted Aug 3.

Yours was the longest post on that thread, where you proceeded to tear Neumann apart. With some lies, like saying he took stimulus money, when what he really did was take advantage of the tax breaks instigated by Geo W Bush. A very nasty post.

Who knows what else you posted there were lies about Neumann? That was my first encounter with you that I can remember, and I just decided not to respond.

I've been on Wisconsin Senate primary threads. Everytime I go to a Wisconsin thread, Syncro has already been there muckraking.
That is not true at all. Everytime you go on a Wisconsin thread, I am there? Muckraking?

You would be hardpressed proving that.

I went back over a month, and looked at all the Wisconsin Primary threads, and I wasn't on any of them. Not ONE!

Look for your self, here they are:

Thats a lot of work I just went through, but when someone makes up falsehoods about me, I like to be through in refuting them with facts.

Especially when some one else (Jim Robinson in this case) is brought into the mix and you trying to convince him of the falsehoods you mentioned about me.

Syncro is the one engaged in thread hijacking.
That is not true at all, as proven above.

It was you and others that hijacked the smokey back room thread and this one.

I don't understand why you would want to make up all of those untruths, and then to top it off, post them to the creator of this website.

Thanks for pinging me to this, Jim.

Syncro spent a lot of time in Wisconsin with the TPX supporting Walker and other candidates.

Seeing as how I actually live in Wisconsin, work as a government affairs pro, have been a local GOP chairman, authored many of the more conservative state GOP platform planks and have counted Scott Walker as a close personal family friend for nearly 20 years, I guarantee I've spent more time supporting Walker and other candidates -- including Mark Neumann.

But you & the moderators don't know me and Syncro is your friend, so I understand why you & the moderators are acting as you are.

Now the Wisconsin Senate primary is over. The candidate pushed by out-of-state groups (Neumann) finished a distant 3rd, but the groups' influence likely denied the nomination of the candidate (Hovde) most supported - but not officially endorsed - within local TEA party groups. The 3 more conservative candidates combined for 65% of the GOP vote, but allowed the most centrist establishment candidate to escape with a 35% plurality.

At least Wisconsin TEA groups and TPX can now agree that's not the result they wanted.

Sorry to keep pinging you.

During the time I composed my last repsonse, Syncro engaged in yet another unprovoked broadside. Does he still have your blessing?
