Stop acting naive. It’s very simple. The more that vote for R&R the better chance they will win. It’s as simple as that.

What a disgusting picture to use to express voter dislike for a candidate. This child doesn’t know what he is saying with his fingers. Someone he loves forced him to do this and it is vile. It’s bad enough the people of the USA have allowed over 55 million unborn children to be murdered in the womb. Now we are demoralizing little children to mimic dirty nasty finger signs. No wonder the Republicans are so disorganized in our social and political beliefs.

I have to give credit to Ryan for wanting to do something about the budget defecit, but his plan wouldn’t balance the nation’s budget until 10 years or more down the road.
That’s too late for me but more importantly its probably too late for this country.
The RINO Republican leaders in Congress are unwilling to go cold turkey on entitlements.
The plan of austerity Greece has imposed on it right now intends to balance that country’s budget in five years, probably too late in their case but quicker than Ryan’s plan for this country.
Business as usual politicians are kicking the can down the road and I suspect they know it.
When the bubble bursts in a few years or less they will go the European route in the US with tax hikes and budget cuts simulteneously.
That’s a moderate plan, not a conservtive one.
The Obama-Romney difference boils down to the speed with which the country goes down the tubes financially and into austerity and or bankruptcy.

I love FR and yet again Im getting the feeling that maybe I dont fit.
_____________________
I know the feeling. I feel the same way. I just cant refer any more people to FR right now. When I do they send me WTH emails or call me and ask me why I sent them to this site and why I am here. They think its fringe, kooky. Its not at ALL like it was when I joined. It makes me very sad, but it is what it is and I cannot support a site that in any way, shape or form supports or does anything to help the re-election of the Kenyan Marxist narcissist in the WH. Romney is not even 1/100000000 as bad as Soetoro who is hell bent on destroying this country and redistributing the wealth. He HATES this country and wants to being it down. Romney doesnt want that and Ryan SURE doesnt.
Romney was not my first choice either. If it were not for foreign policy issues, I'd would have preferred Ron Paul. Wish I could dig up Barry Goldwater though. I just think most social issues should be left to the States to decide or better yet, the people themselves. One exception I have is on abortion, to deny one the right to life is to deny them liberty and free choice and to terminate it is wrong unless all other options are exhausted. I think we all have to step back and remember the old Ronald Reagan adage where the guy that agrees with you 80% of the time is still your friend, not your enemy. Heck, I took an online test, FWIW, and my score was Ron Paul 84% and Romney 80%.
I am pretty much more on the libertarian wing myself, more of a Robert A. Heinlein or L. Neil Smith (I'm into science fiction). I guess I know what it is like to be different, I most likely have Asperger's, so maybe that's why I'm more tolerant of people with different behaviours. I'd like to see the bullying of people with differing opinions stop on all sides although if one is against freedom, our country and the Constitution, then we have the right to take them to task and fight them.
Some pick on Romney's religion. I have no problems with his religion. As long as one's religion does not advocate flying planes into buildings, animal/human sacrifice or other means of depriving one's right to life and liberty, they can worship rocks, The Great Electron or the giant hoot-owl with the flame in the belly at the Bohemian Grove. I have no trouble with Mormons.
Romney is the only game in town that can beat Obama and if we want to beat him, we have to get behind him. WE can't cut our noses off to spite our faces.

I do not support Romney and dis not vote for him in the primary. I like Ryan a lot though and wish he was at the top of the ticket.
My vote is one against the communist Marxist anti-American zealot trying to collapse America.

“Do you have any evidence that the GOP-e *forced* Gingrich, Perry, Santorum, and Bachmann to all run against each other and to hang on to the very bitter end while Romney won state after state with a minority of the vote? If not, then face the fact that we conservatives — by splitting our votes among so many candidates — are responsible for Romney winning.”
Painting the GOPe as the omnipotent boogieman helps deflect responsibility for the outcome.

What candidates are you planning to support on election day?
Hovde or Fitzgerald for the Senate (leaning toward Hovde but only because Fitzgerald is a reliable voice in the Assembly already). Boland for the House (Army Colonel Ret. focused on fiscal reform). And Virgil Goode for the Executive Office (a far better man than either Obama or Romney). We have internal state elections to decide as well, but I reckon that won't interest you as much.

Not voting for Romney is usually not about a third party movement.
It’s about not following lock step behind the GOP no matter what it does.
As I have said, the GOP-e types know that many will vote for whoever they put up, as in lesser of two evils
Therefore, they keep marginalizing Conservatives and run left leaning RINO’s.
The blame will be on the GOP when Romney loses, not on those that refuse to help them continue their mission of promoting liberal candidates by voting for them on a ABO reasoning ideal.
They are pretty good at getting republicans to vote for inferior candidates as they sit back and laugh at how they have snookered their base.
The Tea Party will survive, Conservatives will continue to be relevant at the grass roots level and in political office as we vote more and more of them in on the local level.
