According to factcheck.org it would be unprecedented for a presidential candidate to release his college records. George W. Bush's records were leaked by someone but he didn't release them.

In 2004, some of John "D-student" Kerry's academic records were released. And in the year 2000 we also learned that Al Gore had flunked out of divinity school, and that his GPA was not as good as GWBush's.

Additionally, we learned in 2004 and 2000 that GWBush had better SAT scores than did Kerry or Gore.

I don't know whether Kerry's or Gore's academic records were leaked without their permission; but I would guess they were, since neither Gore nor Kerry had much to crow about.
