Voted for Cruz a little before noon today and was the 9th person to put my ballot in the voting machine.

We’re toasting Ted Cruz with a cold Shiner brew! He needs to have a good strong win in November now, so the dinosaur GOP in TX can’t say that TEA Party candidates can’t win.
To: Clintonfatigued
As of now it’s a 9 point spread with about half the votes counted.

A great day indeed. Ted Cruz will kick a$$ in the U.S. Senate.
Funny, by January 3, 2013, arguably the two most eloquent orators in the U.S. Senate will be Cuban-American Republicans. Nobody would have predicted that 5 years ago.

Now, can Cruz beat the Democrat?

To my FRiends in Texas, well done! Having seen our own Governor Walker survive (and flourish) after the recall attempt here in Wisconsin, I know exactly how you are feeling right now. Every state should have a win like this to celebrate!

Romney and the gopE..do you hear us now?”
Local news was comparing how Cruz’s performance in the Senate will measure up again that of Kay Bailey. Lots of discussion about how far right Cruz’s position is on issues and how much Texas will lose because Kay Bailey always found a way to compromise, something they do not view Cruz as being able to do. Not a word about the Tea Party until almost the very end of their discussion and, even then, it was largely dismissive.

KBH has been voting consistently as a liberal since she decided to resign which allowed Cornyn to look like a COPO - Conservative on Paper Only. I seriously doubt if Cruz is going to cover for Cornyn so it should be interesting to see how this plays out between January 2013 and when Cornyn runs for re-election in 2014.

Hearts are singing in TEXAS tonight! The PPP poll has shown the surge for days and, thankfully, it was real! People have been on fire to vote. Nice for the DC guns to show up for Ted too, and enough can’t be said for Freedom Works contribution, but the ground gamers were the real infantry that pulled this off.
