Obama can “evaluate” it all he wants, but it’s dead as in DOA as is the brains of the two lib clowns who introduced the bill.

That would be the most foolish act taken by Obama in a long, long series of foolish acts.
It would come to be known as The Final Straw.

Congressional Record JULY 30, 2012
Page S5658 right column, 1/2 way down...
By Mr. LAUTENBERG (for himself and Mrs. FEINSTEIN):
S. 3458. A bill to require face to face purchases of ammunition, to require licensing of ammunition dealers, and to require reporting regarding bulk purchases of ammunition; to the Committee on the Judiciary.
No bill text yet that I can find.
...sponsored by Sen. Frank Lautenberg, Democrat from New Jersey, and Rep. Carolyn McCarthy, a Democrat from New York.
Lautenberg and Feinstein, not McCarthy.

You seem to forget that this President has no problem bypassing the normal legislative processes to get what he wants.
He'll use executive fiat, executive order, or he'll find some government agency to do his bidding much like he used the EPA to impose environmental mandates that he couldn't get through Congress.
If that doesn't work, it's been proven that judicial tyranny is another avenue for getting around the constitution for this dictator.....I mean President.
To: doc1019
Gee, I wonder what his decision will be? /s That it's a good idea, but it would be better handled after the election, when he'll have more flexibility.

These true believers never learn. Never.
Their idiot, anti 2nd Amendment Fast and Furious has 300 foreign nationals Murdered in their own country, and their US AG cited for civil and criminal contempt of Congress, facing a civil suit, and now this.
Evaluate, another Liberal euphemism for unwanted, forced sex.

I sure wish they would apply the same strict criteria for ammo purchase to voting.
Funny how old people and minorities can’t get an ID to vote but can manage to buy their ammo face to face.
These guys need to be called out. Too bad the GOP has a policy of checking their testicles at the door before going to work.

If the libs want to waste their time on this, I say go for it. It`s a dead end which won`t win any political points.

I always knew they would come for the ammunition.
After all, the Second Amendment states the right to keep and bear arms....not the right to ammunition. Arms are mentioned but ammunition is not.
The sleazy legal experts have now parsed those two words to the point that now they are concentrating on the ammo...not the piece of hardware that fires it.
Now my prophecy seem to be coming true.
It won’t be long until CW-III will begin.

Such bills have no chance of passing--not even compromises. Maybe the politicians have investments in ammunition, firearms prices and hysteria in general. The media have been full of sponsored predictions about the end of the world and threats to spy on us all in new ways for several years. It appears that our leaders are in league with conspiracy story mongers and other fruitcakes.
Buy low. There won't be any high selling with as much as has been purchased by now. Or have at it. Join in the panic. I'm okay for defense now and will wait a while to purchase anything. Lost investments or government income/pension and need to eat for the next week? Sure. I'll buy something cheap (see three or four years from now).
Have fun. Enjoy the ride. All we're going to see is meek poverty and more anti-small-American-manufacturing regulations from both political parties. And more hysteria, of course.
From The Collaborative International Dictionary of English v.0.48 :
Hysteria \Hys*te"ri*a\, n. [NL.: cf. F. hyst['e]rie. See
Hysteric.] (Med.)
A nervous affection, occurring almost exclusively in women,
in which the emotional and reflex excitability is
exaggerated, and the will power correspondingly diminished,
so that the patient loses control over the emotions, becomes
the victim of imaginary sensations, and often falls into
paroxism or fits.
[1913 Webster]
Note: The chief symptoms are convulsive, tossing movements of
the limbs and head, uncontrollable crying and laughing,
and a choking sensation as if a ball were lodged in the
throat. The affection presents the most varied
symptoms, often simulating those of the gravest
diseases, but generally curable by mental treatment
alone. Hysteric
It's all in style, you know. Watch out! Global warming. Overpopulation! Mayan calendar! Secret world takeover! A dark planet is going to crash into us! [Little irony and humor there.]
The only certain and significant threat is the bond and debt collapse ahead. Result: whole lot of new poor folks, wondering why the world didn't blow up. Oh...and us Baby Boomers, of course. Each of our worlds are about to end, 'cause we're going to die. So yes, many of our government-supported peers are hoping to see some change that will make us live forever to mess things up more.
