McPike's article is an intelligent explanation of why these men seem to be leading the pack, with New Hampshire senator Kelly Ayotte, Virginia governor Bob McDonnell, and Florida senator Marco Rubio as long shots.

Agreed. One thing for sure. The Romney campaign sure knows how to drive the news cycle. This will be the story through the weekend shows, and on the heels of the NAACP speech. If Romney can pull 3-5 percent of the African American vote over 2008, and temper the fear campaign of the left with minorities, this race is essentially over.

The one thing in favor of Condi is that the VP candidate is usually in the bulldog role, and she is in a position to get away with ripping Barack to shreds and getting away with it without the racist card being played against her.
Or it will be Brian Sandoval, elected Governor of Nevada. He was appointed United States District Judge for the District of Nevada by President George W. Bush in October 2005, becoming the state's first Hispanic federal judge.
