A German company,
ThyssenKrupp, made the largest single
private investment ever made in the history of the US in a steel factory just north of Mobile.

FReepers should applaud this; not call us sharecroppers!I agree. Between this, car production and the recent immigration law, it's obvious that Alabama is doing something right. The only downside is it makes me say nice things about Alabama. (Go Vols)

Alabama is cashing in on the Union strong holds. I think they have a good business model.

Maybe you should google it.

We're a very conservative state with a strong work ethic and pro business outlook. FReepers should applaud this; not call us sharecroppers!toiling the ground owned by foreigners might be what passes for a win these days, but not to anyone with any sense.

Oh geez, that’s just so plain stupid.
As if “American” corporations aren’t global, too.
Speaking of American corporations, the biggest money-maker in Alabama (and elsewhere) is Walmart. They’re expanding in Asia and Europe. Sharecroppers? Toiling the ground for foreign Yankees?
Let me tell ya pal, sense you do not have...

IIRC Alabama was to be the home of the "not really airbus" USAF tanker offering. Maybe the basic deal was just too good to refuse.
Good for Alabama.
And, I'll still avoid airbus unless there are literally no options.
