“I love Rush! He has done more for the conservative movement even beyond Reagan. He woke up millions to the truths when bold faced lies were on TV every night. He singlehandedly kept the conservative movement alive when many just wanted to fold and walk away. He is the guiding light.”

I'll get to that bit about “what have you ever done” in a moment.

So which is it, Toady, Rush is just an entertainer or Rush is a Big Giant Patriot whom we all oughta’ just gush over and be thankful for?

Your comparing Rush to Reagan is beyond idiocy on a great many fronts but the biggest is the vast difference between the way the two men responded when the Truth needed to be told and each had a pulpit to speak it from:

Reagan rose and pointed to Evil and called it by it's name. Rush tucked his chin, remained in his seat and kept his usually big loud mouth shut.

Rush was scared and had good reason to be but so did a politician like RR. The firestorm the truth would provoke in their respective situations would give anyone pause.

Rush Limbaugh had a ringside seat to Obamas’ walking up to America and spitting in her face, smirking and then kicking sand into her face just to drive the point home: (”You're my bitch, bitch!’) and he did...NOTHING.

When Obama refused to meet the standard set by law, THAT was the spitting. When he sat on the panel that judged the fitness of McCains’ submission of his birth certificate THAT was the sand.

The man who loves America (and he truly does) watched in silence as a guy whom he knew hated America dismissed the Law as a applying to him and assumed the oval office as his own. The Elites had put the "Loony Toons" tag on the subject

What could Rush have done? Well, lets look at what Rush HAS done: He has made hundreds of millions of dollars out of nothing at all, using only his intelligence, eloquence, analytic power and wit (kinda’ like a latter day Ben Franklin. Think Ben woulda' punked out?). He, as a civilized man must, channeled his rage and disgust at what Evil was doing to his nation and invented a great searchlight to use against it. At the moment that that light was needed most he turned it to other things-important things but OTHER things.

What the moment called for was LEADERSHIP in the form of what Rush eloquently does every day and Rush declined. He abandoned Truth and the sword and shield it affords. He had placed himself into a position of defacto leadership, a leadership he often referenced and bragged about, and then quailed at what he must risk to dive into the fray. Rush is so afraid of the Elites “Loony Toons” label that he forgot about us and the Truth. (Churchill never made tis mistake. Remember him? In his moment he rose and called Evil by it's name; was despised and mocked by his "peers" the Elites and then graciously said yes when asked years later if he would kindly save the Nation).

In this particular situation I, you, we needed someone, anyone, like Rush. A focal point. A voice and figure around which to rally. THAT is what individuals need to “do something”. If you need an object lesson in the subtleties of this point I will happily pay our (you and me) way to Washington, provide approiate signs so that we may march around and bring derision not to ourselves, for we are anonymous, but to our cause (for Rush this works exactly in reverse).

Of course you already know all of this. Your challenge “What have YOU done” was not a valid point, rather it is the rhetorical tactic people who are angry and out of ideas try to use to avoid a point. You really have no idea whether or not I have ever stood on a street with my sign (and my leaders). Carried my petitions laboriously door to door (for my leaders) stood as a delegate of my state at the convention (for my leaders)... Maybe I'll see ya' in Washington, Toad?
