I’ve never been able to be hypnotized. Never wanted to be, I don’t give up control.

However, about six (out of maybe 100) didn't. He asked them to come up on stage and a few did. He told the rest that their hands wouldn't come apart unless they all came up on stage, so the rest, looking pretty sheepish, came forward.

This is exactly how our experience was. My recollection is that the hypnotist started by telling people to imagine they were squeezing something between their palms and then suggested they couldn't get their hands apart. In our case there were several dozen who really couldn't get their hands apart and ended up on stage. Throughout the show these people then ended up being convinced of all kinds of things...they were in a rocket ship, they had regressed in age, they were sitting on hot seats...all kinds of stuff.

I personally never felt any kind of inclination toward feeling my hands stuck but another friend said she was like you...she pulled her hands apart because she felt something and was scared. But 2 of my other friends couldn't get their hands apart and went up front.

Everyone else in the audience was laughing hysterically throughout the show as they watched what was happening to people on stage. It was very, very weird stuff.

“Sounds like an 2008 Obama rally.”

I saw them walking by my downtown office; headed to the Obama rally in 2008. A delirious; but glazed look on their faces. Vacant, baked on smiles. Scary looking.
They looked like extras in a zombie movie; or attendees heading to a political rally in late 1930’s Germany

You just haven’t been drunk enough to judge, I suspect. I’ve been blacked out drunk on a few occasions, when I was up, walking (or rather stumbling) around, holding conversations, etc. Didn’t remember a thing the next day. Was I in control at the time? Maybe, but I can’t say I was, looking back, since I have no recollection.

That’s how the stage hypnotists do it. They can never hypnotize just anyone, they have to take a large group, and then select out only the most suggestible.

I was up on stage for one, and the guy sent me back to the audience with a bunch of others, because he must have had some way to detect those who were really getting into it and those who were not.

This is nothing new. More than half this nation was hypnotized by an idiot in 2008.

And a large percentage of those hypnotized by Obozo in 2008 are still under that trance.

Several 12 and 13-year-old girls in a trance?

This sounds like some 12 or 13 year old boy’s day dream.

195? Friend in jr hi school “tried” to hypnotize several of us. One girl went into deep trance. Would not respond to wake up cues. Eyes wide open, pupils fixed. Vital signs bottomed out. Taken to ER. SLEPT IT OFF IN HOSPITAL. Left a lasting memory on me at age 13.
Saw how it could work positively when I was a student nurse in the 60’s, when I observed women deliver babies using hypnosis. They learned to go into hypnotic state as their pregnancy advanced, working with MD. AMAZING. Sure hope some OB docs still know how this works.
