Liberals can’t stand the war/patriotic references in the SSB. If they could write a national anthem, I’m sure it would be all about diversity, unions, universal health care, and gay marriage.

The Star Spangled Banner is a beautiful tune when played with the dignity and respect it deserves.Not like these clownish freaks who have sang it at past sporting events.
It’s not broke so don’t try to fix it.
I couldn’t agree more heartily with you. When played or sung traditionally and well, it is majestic and beautiful.
When done by the likes of Roseanne Barr and any number of performers, the disrespect is appalling.

The national anthem simply tells the story of both our flag and country. How IRONIC in the 200th anniversary of the start of the war of 1812 this is even being a subject at all.

It is stuff like this that I DO end questioning the patriotism of liberals.
A short correction to post number 18, “ I do end up questioning” the patriotism of liberals.

I am VERY SURPRISED that Grove City College, which is a VERY DEVOUT Christian college, DID NOT throw professor out on his ears.

Then Mr. Press did not hear what I consider the best, all time presentation on the national anthem, sadly, we lost her early this year, the late Whitney Houston’s presentation of it which showed the different vocal levels of her presentation, the way it should be sung.
