I think that a lot of people have this attitude. Everyone was shocked when I got married at 22. I even once had someone say, "You're married? How cute!" Sometimes I wonder if the decay of traditional marriage isn't actually the heterosexual's fault. Straight people have de-valued marriage so much, we shouldn't be surprised when the deviants start trying to hijack it.

How utterly preposterous. On the heels of having the President of the United States convey his support for GAY marriage (because Marriage is a RIGHT, dontcha know), now some liberals want to remove that right based on an arbitrary AGE....

I understand that many people's first, young marriages are mistakes, but so what, you get divorce, whatever. I will say thought that most people should delay childbirth until at least 25, of course the Gov should have no say in that.

One of the most loving couples I know married at 19 right after their military service - both IDF intelligence. Both very very bright. They were infertile for years, moved to the USA from Israel, and then had some children, after all. They are very happy and busy and best friends.
