I have known a number of FBI investigators over many years and in several places where we lived, and IMO your response in without merit. I found them all conservative in thought, and way of life. I found them lousy golfers but great around a backyard barbecue as long as there was cold beer.

Possible the FBI is doing this to try and stop violence in the case he is found not guilty. Then they can drag it on and find him not guilty and by that time the natives will have returned to their normal lives. I’m hoping that is what this is.

They can fudge it with legalese, but it’s double jeopardy as far as I’m concerned.

The questions could lead to the obvious - that Zimmermans’s NOT a racist - and this isn’t a hate crime. Or even if he does look down on blacks - it’s still not a hate crime. (Zimmerman’s part black - so I doubt there’s going to be much of a ‘hate crime’ issue) From what I’ve seen, I believe Zimmerman acted in self defense. Unless there’s a huge amount of evidence that hasn’t been made public, that’ll be the conclusion of honest men and women... A black woman in Zimmerman’s complex has already come forward with her support of him - I’m sure others will too.

I won’t argue - I tend to agree, but for all practical purposes, the double-jeopardy protection is null and void!
