Agreed. It’s scary. And eerie. My methodology is the same as the last few years but my drivers are finishing well and not crashing. I’d go to Vegas but I’d end up selling my blood and hair.

Minnesota Congresswoman Betty McCollum just won’t take “no” for an answer.

For at least the third time in recent years, the Democratic Representative is pushing to cut Pentagon funding for NASCAR teams, in an effort to save taxpayers’ money. An amendment introduced by McCollum and Georgia Rep. Jack Kingston passed the House Appropriations Committee this week, and could ultimately be headed for a floor vote. The amendment would reduce or eliminate advertising dollars for motor sports, fishing, wrestling and mixed martial arts events, and is virtually identical to one floated by McCollum in February of 2011.

McCollum represents Minnesota’s Fourth District, which includes the capital city of St. Paul. Her website says she brings “a common sense, Minnesota perspective to her work on the House Appropriations and Budget Committees” and has been “a champion for excellence in education, protecting the environment, expanding health care access and fiscal responsibility.”

She is also no fan of NASCAR.

When you fly over a crowd of rednecks, every guy in the place says to himself, “Dang, I wish that was me up there.” The Commie Congresswoman knows that, but she doesn’t like men who stand up and say, “Ma’am, don’t piss on us and try to tell us it’s raining. Tell us the truth about the situation or get off the talking stand and allow an honest person to speak to the crowd.”

She’s not concerned with how many men join the military ranks each year because she knows her kids won’t be among them.She’ll kick the can on down the road and let someone else take care of the problem.

The other things about NASCAR crowds that I know really eats at her guts is the entire crowd stand up and bows their heads to the Lord and then raises up and stands tall while our national anthem is being sung. That is two of the most painful things a communist can watch which is why our children are forbidden from doing them in public schools.
