“It’s very explosive, so if there is fire in your house it can go off and then we’re putting our friends at the fire department and our neighbors at risk,” said Officer David Studder with the Mason City Police Department.

I Fully Embrace the Idea

ALL PUBLIC SERVANTS and Public Employees Shall be Prohibited from Storing ANY FIREARM OR AMMUNITION in their Homes, They Shall Keep All Firearms and Ammunition in a Secure Facility within their Respective Workplace. Any Violation shall be a Felony punishable by a Mandatory Minumim Sentence of not less than 5 years in State Prison and a fine of not less than 1,000,000 US plus all penalties and assessments.

Show We The People how you like your idea so much by PRACTICING IT.

If you’re standing *very* close to a fire where some ammunition is cooking-off,

Pfft. I was talking about potential hazards of ammo in a house fire (though not apparently you). Try "cooking-off" a few thousand rounds of ammo standing *very* close, or even *not-so-very* close. Or standing not far enough back from cooking-off a few pounds of gunpowder. Boom.

Or BOOM.
