I'm no fool and I know that given his way, a Romney presidency will wander all over the political spectrum.

But in that same no fool school of thought, I'm not going to fight battles that are already lost. Elections were held and my guy didn't win enough of them.

Personally I am putting time and money into electing conservative Senate candidates. That is where the real fight is now.

I completely agree. I wish that I could have bought my FreeRepublic bumper stickers and mousepad directly from a FreeRepublic store, as opposed to having to go to somebody else to make the purchase.

My very first desire is to keep FR up and running. Some change may be acceptable if the alternative is to shut FR down. I would like to point out that DU has advertising and it doesn’t appear to me that much censorship of words or themes is evident there.

Thank you for posting that. It was one of the things I intended to deal with today. After seeing it early Friday morning, 1:15am PDT more or less, either my ISP, FR or the entire internet froze, verified on 3 different computers.
