As I have said for nearly 3 1/2 years, I am going to vote a straight Republican ticket (one checkmark at a time to prevent Dem hacking...).

If there is a Republican I do not like in the lineup, then I will use that vote to zap and neutralize a single fraudulent Democrat vote.

Regardless of who we like, we must neutralize the Democrat efforts to throw the election with No-ID voting.

Restoring the integrity of the party as a home for conservative Tea Party patriots is an important goal too. Is it worth giving that up to defeat Obama? You want another generation of people to come into the world thinking the Republican party is all about the kind of moderate mush Romney peddles? I’d rather see a well-defined, properly conservative party in opposition to Obama than see the party led by someone who panders to Obama’s constituency by diluting and sidelining conservative values. How can we make long-term gains for the country if we don’t even have a party that stands for conservative policies? If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for Romney.

Bush had 33 czars. Obama has 38. Reagan had 1.

It’s time to get back to Reaganomics.

There's not a dime's difference between Urkel and Stretch.

Well, actually, there IS a dime's difference but what does a dime's difference buy you today?

This should light a fire under the efforts to get as many Tea Partiers as possible elected to Congress.

You mean like they have the last 4 years /s Obama has already proved he can do anything he damn well pleases and no repub or no demo is going to stop him.

Not true. He was forced to extend the Bush tax cuts. Even the dems wouldn't let him pass cap-and-trade. They wouldn't let him pass single payer health care, so he had to go with the mandate scheme. And that might get overturned by the courts. He's doing a lot of bad stuff, obviously, and stopping us from doing a lot of good stuff. But literally 5 less RINOs in the Senate and we would have been able to block Justice Kagan. He is being held back on some fronts and with more power in Congress we can do more. It's even theoretically possible to get enough votes to override a presidential veto.

Seriesly, HAP, give us one issue on which Romney has said something concrete.

One issue. You can't. The guy doesn't say anything substantive. Everything he says is calibrated to be denied once or IF he takes office.

I don't know if HAP is interested in saving the country or simply poking Conservatives in the eye.

He (or she) apparently gets off on seeing us get our comeuppance and doesn't really give a flying fig who wins the Presidency.

How much sense does THAT make?

I wonder how many a President Romney would have.

A vast majority will blindly support candidate XYZ, just because he has an R behind his name. It’s pretty sad that the GOP-e has been so successful in the conversion of principled conservatives to mindless whores.

Blind loyalty to the letter "R" is the fastest way to strike conservatism dead and bury it in this country. Many, many of the powerful elites behind the "R" label desperately want that to happen. They want votes, money and power. They are ONLY willing to give the base as much conservative policy as it takes to get votes, money and power. The only way you'll get more conservative policy is if you draw a line in the sand and tell them THEY WILL LOSE votes, money and power unless they give you what you ask for.

DemocRATs have the black vote on their plantation; GOPe has the conservative vote on theirs.

Russia had 1 too, but they had the good sense to get rid of theirs'. (ok, so their replacement was even worse).

This is post 244 and doing a quick count there are about 180 no votes and 50 that will vote romney {there are repeats but the ratio should be about right}.

This is an unusually long string of posts and while most of the romney voters just avoided this post because they don't want to get banned, many others avoided it because what they are going to do is hard for them.

No conservative has mittens at the head of their ticket but compared to obama, he makes Reagan look like GHWB.

I've noticed that many of those great principled conservatives that avow not to vote or to write in some name, are from very red or blue states, and while the ones that are from swing states will jump all over this sentence, I'm just stating a fact.

This includes the owner, Jim Robinson, whom I respect, but disagree with on this issue.

George Zimmerman is not OJ Simpson and romney is not obama.

Raw emotion and hatred is a trait that is best left with the left.

And the big, big, big problem with Romney flip-flopping against conservatives if he is elected will be the huge Bush Sr.-esque loss he'll suffer in 2016, which could usher in a liberal Congress and liberal president that will have more power, a bigger mandate and radically transform this country more than Obama has. If the GOP moves to the middle, the Democrats are able, if not basically forced to move even further to the left. We can't let that happen to the party. It produces not only worse Republicans but worse Democrats.

George Zimmerman is not OJ Simpson and romney is not obama.

That's a simplistic analysis of the issue. Give us the 12-to-16-year map of where a Romney win takes us vs. an Obama win. Moderate Republicans don't get us anywhere in the short-term and hurt us badly in the medium-to-long-term. If we get a moderate Republican president, you're looking at a repeat of 2006 and 2008 in 2014 and 2016. An Obama election is likely to keep the base motivated to put more Tea Party patriots in Congress in 2014, and then we'll get another shot at a conservative president in 2016. So being SLIGHTLY better than Obama wouldn't make up for ushering in the revenge of Pelosi and Obama 2.0 in 2016.

You are THE PROBLEM. The GOP has never CUT one dang thing. It’s all smoke and mirrors. Your GOP unicorn is as big a fantasy as Soetoro. I suspect you profit from the public dole. Your days are numbered. The US is broke and the GOP has done next to nothing to stop it. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. The GOP is all hot air. They never challenge Soetoro on anything.

Itis the Republican Establishment pushing Romney on us....

We have to quit blaming the 'establishment'. If we get Romney, it is because millions of people voted for him. That can be changed and influenced and if they can't we are partially to blame ourselves. We need to quit sitting around talking to ourselves and get out there and focus on the last remaining alternative, Newt. We need to influence the remaining voters, not complain about the 'establishment'. You can't do anything about how the 'establishment' thinks other than go after their pocket books regarding donations, however, we can influence those who vote.

I can almost bet if we* had coalesced behind one Conservative and all gave attention and donated to one, the voice would have been so loud, the establishment would have followed us. Alas we didn't. We have one more chance if we are willing to take it.

*'We' as in Conservatives in general, not just those here..

Mr Gorball Warming Dede Scozzafave is no Conservative either. The Pelosi couch sitter has drunk to much Potomac water. He’s a fraud.

I will vote for an honest conservative.
Not Mr. Obama and not Mr. Romney. I just reread Mr. Romneys history on supporting the proposed federal assault weapon law and the assault weapons ban he signed as Governor.
If there is no conservative listed on the ballot, I will write in Sarah Palin.
I am ashamed to say that I voted for Mr. Dole and Mr. McCain. Never Again.
