What is worse, saying “president Obama” until 2016 with conservative opposition or saying “president Romney” until 2020 with full support of his agenda by congressional republicans? I have absolutely nothing to lose by voting for Virgil. At least I know Obama will be gone in 2016 and the Republican party will get another chance to get it right (not that I expect that to happen). And I am from the swing state of Virginia (as is Virgil Goode, where he was a popular congressman for a quite awhile). FUMR
I refuted your claims. What I said has been discussed many times, such as Newt doing a tour with Al Sharpton or Newt not doing anything about immigration during the 1990’s.
I knew that would be coming sooner or later.
...
I really do not see how this is hard to understand. We vote for conservastives. Mitt Romney=NOT conservative. So, we do not vote conservative.
Amen. people are becoming lemmings to the media. They have made Romney into the winner before states like TX and CA votes. The media's so transparent can't people see that they are being tricked and told how to think. The media, on their own could turn this country into a socialist nation in just a few more years as we see the people are so naive.
No you're not. You're recommending that Conservatives vote for romney over Newt. We're conservatives. romney's a socialist. We're not throwing in the towel simply because you say it's over.
Just a thought... Get over yourself.
“Romney is a pathological compulsive liar.”
==
He may be a liar, but I’m not afraid of him. What Obama will do in his 2nd term terrifies me.
If Mitt is our choice, which it appears to be the case,I will vote for him.
Please rest assured that our Jim is in full control.
I'm surprised he's showing such restraint, given that he's taking the time to repeat his principled stands regarding Willard Mitt Romney several times over, yet we have members here who still seem perplexed, shocked, outraged, and saddened.
I mean, our Founders didn't cave to tryanny or follow unworthy political leaders.
The GOP-E is going the way of the Whigs.
Can we all agree to support and work our butts off for the elections of TEA Party conservatives up and down our respective ballots?
Can we all agree to pray and keep praying? Nothing is yet set in cement.
Newt Gingrich remains in this primary race, which is NOT yet over.
Put your Trust in Him, not in politicians!
God bless you all and God bless Free Republic!
I just did, and it's kind of 'oogie'. Pro Rom sites cut him a lot of slack, anti-Rom let him have it on the pro-gay appointments. Pro Rom gave the feeling that he was working with the Left in Mass. so any non-conservative appointments were likely due to liberalness inherent to the Northeast in general. Anti Rom indicated his lack of concern over picks- especially at the end of his term where many were left (unusually) vacant.
In all, it wouldn't be an understatement to say that his 'conservatism' is a bit muddy. Which contradicts what one might suppose from one whose religion forbids smoking, drinking, and caffeine.
As a Californian familiar with Arnold Swartchenagger (sp?) it comes as no surprise that a Mass governor would be any less conservative than Arnold. Both states stink-on-ice when it comes to liberty.
In fact, if it were Arnold instead of Mitt running and leading in the primary I would have to tell those voting that they are not about to vote for a conservative.
In some way, I stand corrected and in others, I do not. Romney would likely nominate justices who are doubtful when it comes to conservatism and the constitution in general whereas, Obama would nominate those such as his wise-ass Latina and gay Jewess to include perverts with hostilities toward our constitution as one can only imagine.
That Free Republic would not greet Romney with open arms is understandable. He is not a conservative. He is from Mass. He can't be. Any more than Arnold from California could be.
House and Senate, house and senate. This could be the last voice of the people.
Bush was president for 4 years and we were not allowed to tell the truth about his big government open borders ways. The same thing will happen with Mitt. It will be your fault.
You wre fortunate. Wish that I would have had the honor. But did you know that Breitbart was pro-homosexual?
(I point that out not to you but to show that ALL have ‘glitches’).
Breitbart was right and YOU are too.
NOT VOTING IS NOT AN OPTION. It borders treason imho.
I totally messed up the last post. lol.
zot
Yep, Romney will say anything he think helps him. I am watching (popcorn) to see how things play out when he goes up against an equally pathological liar, Obama, with similar $$$$$ resources. Amazing how America has sunk so low.
God help us when one of these two win. Romney is a LIBERAL.
He will be your knight and carry the banner of your approval high.
Oh... Ok. Thank you. I didn’t know that.
Can not be repeated enough.
merciful (for the rest of us)
really, how hard can it be to understand that we do won’t vote for a liberal progressive liar?
The fact that they don’t just accept it and carry on seems to indicate that it scares them that we won’t buy what the GOPe is cooking.
At this point, I have a better chance of winning the mega-millions jackpot and dropping a billion dollars of winnings promoting my own write-in candidacy than Newt has of winning the nomination via a brokered convention, or any other means for that matter.
Romney will be the candidate, like it or not. Like it or not, it will be better to have Romney in the White House than it would be to have four more years of Obama.
