Newt telling it as it is. Good on you! Has to be said.

“The Republican Party is a managerial party that doesn’t like to fight, doesn’t like to read books,” Gingrich said. “This is why the Tea Party was so horrifying. Tea Partiers were actually learning about the Declaration of Independence. They wanted to talk about the Federalist Papers. It was weird. They [GOP-e]could be golfing." *****************

I'm in, til Newt's out.

Gimmie a break. Newt is and was a HORRIBLE candidate who has a very limited appeal with voters. The fact he was touted as a potential nominee just shows how dreadful the Republican party has become. We have a lying incompetent President and this was the best the GOP could field? Awful. Just awful.

My father was a professor at Wesley College for several years. Long ago.

Didn't Rupert Murdoch call Rick Santorum with congratulations as Santorum's poll numbers jumped just before the Iowa vote?

I seem to recall that. It left me with the impression that Murdoch was bolstering a competition between the liberal Romney and Santorum, with Santorum being the moderate who could sweep up the tea party vote. Looks like it worked.

Yep. I was right. Murdoch even tweeted his support for Santorum in January

The media mogul Rupert Murdoch signaled his support for Rick Santorum on Monday evening, calling him the “only candidate with genuine big vision” for the United States. http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/01/02/taking-to-twitter-murdoch-endorses-santorum/

Not saying what Roger Ailes is up to.

Newt needs a miracle but life is sometimes funny that way.

Romney could have a scandal or his plane could go down.

If you quit you don’t get your miracle.

“And there’s no question that Fox had a lot to do with stopping my campaign because such a high percentage of our base watches Fox.”

That’s right.

If we get Romney, we can blame Fox News.

I am very pleased with having no cable or satellite service. No television (only rarely while traveling, and I do my best to avoid Fox News).

I’ve been watching CNN more because Fox has become a bunch of propaganda opinion stuff all the time. CNN is a better news agency right now.

Almost everything good and bad about Newt is captured in this one story.

I turned FOX off COMPLETELY after the Florida Primaries. Haven’t missed anything. In fact, I haven’t been following the news much, and doesn’t seem that I’m that much mmore uninformed.

In fact, the few times I’ve turned the TV on, canceled all cable connections btw, I find it almost entirely commercials with a little broadcasting in between.

Romney will get the nomination, and he will probably win. All of us here have no idea how he will govern. We have no idea who he’ll pick for the Supreme Court etc.
