Not just TX. We in CA and a bunch of other states get screwed too. Why can’t we have a fairer primary system?

Thank you! I think we’re just upset. I am too! I got in a really bad funk and quit Newt’s campaign after the Florida primary. I though ‘well, what’s the point?! You give voters some good candidates and they turn around and vote for the most liberal one?!’ It’s ridiculous, but Ive seen what third parties do to electorate counts...especially popular candidates!

No one wields as much power as the presidency- in one single decision-making body. You can take the most conservative candidates to have ever existed and stick them in congress. It’s still not going to have the focus of message as a single conservative in the White House.

The only chance we have is to remind Romney- assuming he wins in November- that we are the reason he’s there.

“FR is NOT a Republican website.”

And I’m not a Republican. I’m a profound Conservative. But I will vote for the Republican nominee if that is the only way to deny Obama a second term. If he gets re-elected it will mean the destruction of this great country we all love so much.

“Swallow your pride and help save this country!!!!”

Are you saying vote for Romney to save the country?

Voting for Romney to save the country is like throwing an anchor to a drowning man.

Let’s watch and see what he does and see how fast the true liberal in him comes out. It will. Romney is a liberal.

That is very likely to happen. Time will tell. If that's the case, time will tell how those fellow conservatives who back Romney now will react to it. I hope I don't hear them go so far as make excuses for his leftward shift.

It’s not extremist to believe as you do. I believe in the constitution and life as well. But you guys are utopian, wishing only to have things exactly as we want them. We will elect a president in nov and it looks like the nominees are a truly evil commie who hates us and a weasely unpleasant liberal moderate.

The heroic act of not stopping evil isn’t all that heroic. Letting a drunk driver crash into your car and kill your kids just so you can say it wasn’t your fault, when you could have swerved to avoid it, is no win.

Good points. None of these anti-Romney guys and gals are our enemies - we’re all on the same side. I’m anti-Romney too! But the most important thing right now, as I see it is... I’m MUCH more... and emphatically so - anti-Obama!

Obama will destroy this country so fast with EPA, Health & Human Services, Homeland Security, and other unaccountable czar edicts, unfunded mandates

It will be up to Republicans in Congress and at the state level to stop him.

And, why would you trust Romney, who believes in man-made global warming, to do any better a job with the EPA?

It’s not Utopian. Look at the list of Romeny’s greatest hits I posted back a few posts. Each and every one of those has an Obama counterpart. And that’s just a fraction of the shared views they have.

So whats the difference? Seriously, please help me understand why it’s OK for Mitt to do the EXACT same things we condemn Obama for. Does it matter that one is a Marxist Jihadi wanabee and one’s a garden variety lib when the end result is the same? Because the end result is all that matters.

Is destroying America OK because the guy doing it claims to be Republican “by voter ID only”? I don’t think it does. In fact I KNOW it does not.

What ever happened to the adults? Personally, I’m not a one issue voter and I have enough patience to not expect 100 years of stead fast liberal gains to be over turned in a single election. But you go ahead and take your ball and go home.

I didn’t leave FR, FR left me just like the rnc did.

“If he gets re-elected it will mean the destruction of this great country we all love so much.”

You know what? Obama is not really the core problem with America.

The core problem is all the looters who vote for him. Even when he is gone, the looters remain.

No, I will NOT vote for a man who panders to the looters just to gain office. That means I won’t be voting for Obama OR Romney.

We the PRODUCTIVE people of this land WILL survive, even if the country does not.

Did you ever consider that the country we love so much doesn’t exist anymore? It may already be dead, sir.

You need to calm down and get a grip on yourself. Your posts sound like those of a person who is scared.

This is not a time for fear, it is a time for courage.

They’ve gone a RINO too far.

Good one Jim.

Enough RINOs are enough.

It's the RINO that broke the camel's back.

Spare the rod - spoil the RINO.

RINO me once (twice, three times)shame on you. RINO me four times shame on me.

That's just it, it's not a single-issue issue. There is absolutely nothing in Romney's record to recommend him to a conservative, NOTHING.

This is Romney's record, try and justify your "I'm not a one issue voter" comment after reading his record:

1. Implemented/created Gay Marriage in MA
2. Supported and forced Gay Adoption in MA
3. Supported Abortion wholeheartedly
4. Raised taxes/fees over 300% while being Governor of MA
5. Implemented a state-level Cap and Trade system.
6. Supported Man-Made Global Warming
7. Supported the Brady Bill
8. Implemented a state level "Assault" Weapons Bill after the Federal AWB was allowed to expire
9. Supported TARP
10. Supported Amnesty for Illegal Aliens (Citizenship for those already here)
11. Supported McCain-Kennedy(Amenesty)
12. Implemented a socialized medicine in MA called RomneyCare complete with an Individual Mandate and $50 abortions
13. Nominated 27 Democrats (out of 36 nominations) for judgeships in MA, many of them extreme left-wingers

Furthmore, if you are leaving FR, because people here won't vote for such a lying, left-wing, Progressive Liberal like Mitt Romney, you never were a conservative.
