That means when the riot is coming down your street you had better be ready to deal with it because the cops aren’t going to do so!
That is the most frightening sign of a breakdown in law and order. Government’s function is to protect citizens and uphold the law. When it fails to do this, people begin to ask why we have government at all? This could lead to anarchy, and that’s a scary scenario.
Exactly. What part of “public safety” is consistent with letting a police department be occupied by a mob and shut down?
I wonder who made this decision: the Chief or someone above him? The officers as a whole shouldn’t be blamed for having an idiot(s) in charge.
