Azerbajian ??
But they won’t be IN the Gulf.
Should that unthinkable happen, Tehran ought be nothing but a smoldering heap.
The price for attacking an Aircraft Carrier with national assets is far too severe for any nation to contemplate.
And when operating 300miles out, suicide to attempt.
I'm thinking many folks are not aware how dominant the USN is at sea. We are unchallenged outside the littorals. If you see a Carrier in the Gulf, you can bet we do not intend to attack. And, you can bet we have sufficient assets in the region to effect terrible retribution.
I hear things have changed, but the price of a Carrier used to be total nuclear war. You can bet it's still extreme.
“Let us proceed from a assumption easy to make, that Obama will proceed as cynically as Macchiavelli.”
Are you saying that Obama outed the Israeli plan so that he could implement his own plan to attack Iran?
“He can argue that he is fighting to keep gasoline prices down.”
This attack is in response to high gas prices?
Really... is that what you believe?
Getting older every day as well right?
iPads, auto correct in most browsers make it easy to mess up.
If people can read tweets then they can overlook a few mistypes. Check this out.

Translation: According to research by the Linguistic Department at Cambridge University, it doesn't matter in what order the letters in a word are, the only important thing is that the first and last letter be at the right place. The rest can be a total mess and you can still read it without a problem. This is because the human mind does not read every letter by itself, but the word as a whole.
Someone’s trying to make a point by making the Big “E’s” move extra news worthy. It’s last cruise was announced weeks ago so maybe there’s sentiment to give Her one last show? She’ll retire after this deployment. And don’t worry about the Big “E”-—after all she survived McCain and his buddies who tried to sink her off Oahu about 1968-—She pulled into Pearl where I helped put Her back in shape and as a side note she’s the last remaining US Navy ship that I actually worked on that’s still in service——so I’m a touch sentimental about the old rocket sled.
More to the point-—there already was two US carriers in the Gulf area before Enterprise got there-—Abe and Vinson. And according to my wall map where I keep track of carrier groups, the Bush is still in the Mediteranean area and that makes FOUR within a night’s ride of Immanutjob’s digs. Granted the Navy fails to keep me posted on its every move but my own Big Weegee Board works pretty good.
Finally, I’ve said for years that if more than two carrier groups wind up in the Gulf at the same time, as Saddam found out, then it’s extremely likely someone is going to get a really Excedreen Headache number 9. To mismangle General Patton if your Mojo is working good you need to sent up a “good mission “ prayer for our Fleet sailors in the ME. This whole Iran thing might be out of Obamuzzie’s hands.
what are those two ships tied up next to the carrier?
“With Obama, I am terrified.”
You and a couple of hundred million other Americans, FA.
With what technology the Iranians are going to sink any of our naval ships? We are like 50 years ahead of them in military technology None the less the Iranian terrorist regime must be destroyed This cancer has been causing a lot of troubles for us and the Middle East since 1979
Yes.
Finally, Ive said for years that if more than two carrier groups wind up in the Gulf at the same time, as Saddam found out
6 carrier battle groups in Desert Storm
We can see the SOBs Iranian terrorists long before they launch whatever missiles or aircrafts they have against our ships and once we see them they are immediately dead and destroyed. No other nation on this planet has this immense military advantage, we are the only one.
I find this rather tedious. If you have a point to make why don't you just go ahead and make it in plain language?
If and when you do, this time you might keep in mind my observation at the end of my reply #7:
All of this is rank speculation on my part.
Fifty-two years ago this week, I chose to enlist in the U.S. Air Force, and I am immensely proud of what I did during my hitch. But I have to tell all you sailors out there, that when I see one of the carrier battle groups arrayed in the four corners of the globe, I sort of wish I’d gone a few doors down to the Navy recruiters.
They are there to prevent Israel from attacking Iran. He will order shoot downs of Israeli fighters if it comes to that. The Azerbaijan betrayal proves that.
“I find this rather tedious.”
I bet your namesake never found it rather tedious.
Perhaps that guarantees that Iran will not attempt to sink any carriers. Can’t have their boy lose the election.
If I remember right movement of carriers etc. is unspoken "language" between nation leaders regardless of what they are speaking. "Actions speak louder than words" would seem about right.
So I can see your post right on....all pending how Mambo s numbers play out for the upcoming election. But it does seem he needs something to wramp up his numbers as his record itself isn't going to do it. Also, any race or class wars he's initiated would at least be put on the back burner.
Thank you so very much for your service keeping our ships in tip top shape! I'm sure you do have some heart strings to this baby....I would too!
Sent there to intercept the IAF on their way to Iran—turn back you Jews or be shot down.
