Mitt, reality check: The people who really, really care about whether women ever get into Augusta are never, ever going to vote for you. Or anybody else on or near the right. For those of us in the real world, it’s not that big an issue that Meg Whitman and Oprah Winfrey and the like can’t join Bushwood on the Savannah. It really is not. I’m not sure I understand the outrage here... both said that ANGC is a private organization and they can do what they want but if it were up to them they would allow female members. Seems a perfectly reasonable stance and actually the same exact one I have. The government has ZERO say so in what a private organization does with its membership. The issue is that NOW wants the government to force ANGC to admit women. Neither Obama nor Romney said they would do that.
