Talked to my granddaughter there and everyone is OK.
I've been listening to WBAP and I think Keller is ok. The main cell went east of there... over DFW Airport
Chill pill, af. We’re all stressed today, no need to parse words.
I’m an old Texas gal, quite well acquainted with weather terminology, both proper and colloquial. So a funnel on the ground is a tornado. Maybe you can lecture me on whether “twister” is a proper term??
They’re now saying there were no kids in the school. Since Forney is east of Dallas, they may well have had time to dismiss and get them all home before the storms rolled in there. I don’t know. Arlington and Dallas schools did indeed shelter in place, in lockdown.
Arlington Martin was on lockdown until 3:30 or so. I heard Arlington High was on lockdown longer than that.
Texas has the scariest weather in the country.
Wonder how my former home in Gainesville/Lake Kiowa is doing?
whew. It was all around Irving and over us but nothing happened here. Thank goodness.
Yes, Shneider Trucking in Dallas got gobsmacked. That is what all the orange trailers were. The Flying J truck stop is next to it (they WERE really flying today)
I hunkered down here and turned off the laptop, just in case. But Irving was spared.
I checked. Forney ISD sheltered in place.
Our schools all have emergency plans and seem to have done an excellent job today in protecting our kids.
Is their an update on that Elementary School?
I’m sorry, but what is a “tilt wall building”?
A little rain, that’s all, apparently. There was a nasty cell moving SW to NE through Denton County that clipped SE Cooke County, but I don’t think Cooke got any damage.
Farm and family home there.
That sounds very California, doesn’t it? ;-)
I heard Arlington High was locked down for a while.
Well, actually I’m a fifth generation Californian, and I don’t have a clue what it means. That’s why I asked.

That is a building made from concrete panels. The panels are poured flat on the slab and then tilted up into place. They are like hugh (sic) card houses if thry don't have a strong roof structure and proper lateral bracing.
lol. You already answered that question in the previous post
Tilt wall panel being erected
Why do government schools use prison terminology?
Wow! Your wife was lucky....stay safe - both of you.
