Remember when Obama dumped on the Justices over the Citizens United decision in the 2010 State of the Union address? Betcha some of his political team is wishing he hadn’t done so right about now. You know what they say about payback...

That said, I don’t think the Supreme Court would stoop so low as to make their decision based on (justifiable) ill-will.

Let me give you a feew precedents to the Supreme Court "overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress"

Supreme Court Overturns Campaign Finance Law

Marbury v. Madison was the first instance in which a law passed by Congress was declared unconstitutional. The decision greatly expanded the power of the Court by establishing its right to overturn acts of Congress, a power not explicitly granted by the Constitution. Initially the case involved Secretary of State James Madison, who refused to seat four judicial appointees although they had been confirmed by the Senate.

And that's just two examples. There are more.

Obama has said

"The court commands no armies, it has no money; it depends for its power on its credibility. The only reason people obey it is because it has that credibility. And the court risks grave damage if it strikes down a statute of this magnitude and importance, and stretches so dramatically and drastically to do it."

Well, the only reason Obama's subordinates obey HIM is because they feel his orders have legitimacy. And it is the Supreme Court which declares the legitimacy or illegitimacy of his orders. I think he realizes that, and it has him worried.

I believe they were paid a fee to do the evaluation and the subsequent reporting of what question was asked and how it was answered has been poorly reported and biased.
