Comrade Barack’s first car was a Trabant.
It might depend on the time of year it was built,
I always heard you didn’t want one made during deer
season as the managers had to fill in the line during
that time.
Ok, so Obama is complaining about having to pick up
girls in a 2 year old car? Wuss.
I agree -- roll-of-the-dice.
Especially in bro-in-law's [Explorer] case. The '97 F series, though, was a pretty big advance over the previous. And I had been a '96 owner for years.
“Is there nothing this guy wont lie about?”
Let me preface this by noting that I have had a number of really good Ford cars and trucks.
But to be fair, the 70s Granada was one of THE biggest pieces of crap ever put on the American road.
I always liked that body style.
Recently the venerable 2003 Ranger has been traded in for a Toyota Tacoma. At the last maintenance it was found that all the bushings in the front end as well as the tie rod ends were all worn out. It cost more to fix than I thought it was worth.
A few years ago I swapped one worn steering arm.
For a jalopy and diamond (maybe) in the rough, this rescued Willys might actually get going in earnest this year.

Personally I believe they should run a whole series of commericals like that. All the time. Forever. That commercial was unscripted and the people just came out and said it on their own. Ford should start going further and just make commercials flat-out saying this and it ought to be in every commerical they run for the rest of the company’s life.
Ford - We Don’t Take Government Bailouts.
“This little beauty has 180,000 miles”
For an F150 that’s just barely broken in.
He was born the same year as me so in '77 he was turning 16. If we believe the propaganda he was in some private H.S. out there in Hawaii. How a single mother raising a kid on her own paid for this nobody knows. Didn't he go to Occidental college in 1980? Again was it paid for through affirmative action, a "foreign student" scholarship or one of his communist mentors? I've heard all 3 theories.
