“Good for him! I have only contempt for a sponsor that tried to come back now. If they decided to make a business decision to drop Limbaugh, so be it. You make that call and you live with the the consequences.”
Sometimes I think Lenin was right when he said that “capitalists would sell him the rope to hang them with.”
How can any business give in so easily to threats from those who hate you (the left) while abandoning those who would fight for your survival (Rush and all of us who believe in free enterprise)?
Rush to SleepTrain: “Go Fluke Yourself.”
Hank
Good. I hope more advertisers come crawling back and Rush tells them where to shove it.
Of course, if I had a forum, I would call Fluke much worse than just a slut. Something about her just makes me want to vomit.
I told them they would have gotten the first opportunity to get the sale because of their ads that run frequently on local Rush station, but because of their knee-jerk reaction to a liberal campaign they never got the chance.
I don't know how much business Sleep Train gets from the left, but for what it's worth, I paid cash.
Rush absolutely put Sleep Train on the map in Sacramento starting in the late 80's when KFBK became, as I understand it, their very first radio sponsor--during Rush's air time.
Sleep Train serves a diverse community? Since when is sluthood to be considered a legitimate entity? Homosexual groups and religious groups are entities for various causes, but sluthood? Slut Pride Parades? Slut Bake Sales?
Maybe .. Sluts for Obama.
I bought a bed from Sleep Train in Dec. The mattress feels firm on one side and much less so on the other side. Time to tell them to give me a new one.
Hey Sleep Train, you know the expression: you made your bed....
They probably purchase a disproportionate number of mattresses, though.
Reliable source?
What type of relationship is there when at the first sign of manufactured outrage by the Left, his oldest advertiser ran for the door and slammed him?
Sluts wear out their mattresses faster?
EAGLES UP!!!! PAYBACK IS A FLUKE.
I’d be carefully considering any requests of the nature. Very carefully, with a lot of thought. A lot of deep, careful, slow, slow thought.
I am surprised at how many people buy conventional mattresses. Didn’t anyone go out and buy from the other Rush turncoat Sleep Number like we did? It is an awesome bed. They are just a nightmare to deal with on replacement parts.
In other words.... Later suckers!
“Rush is a cagey guy. It actually occurred to me that he might have provoked this on purpose to smoke out (and sift out) which of his sponsors are vulnerable to liberal pressure. Then, with his stable thus cleansed and his income stream immunized, he’s even more free than before to say what he wants. Might be a long shot, but the thought crossed my mind. “
I was thinking of it the other way around... is it possible a bunch of leftist-run companies intentionally advertised on Rush’s show, just to wait for whatever firestorm would pop up next to pull out en masse and hopefully take the show down.
I wouldn’t put it past them.
LOL. I thought both scenarios. Of course the diversions from the Obama disaster was the most likely. This was telegraphed during the CNN debate. This is all they have. It does work with the “true believers.” Which is interesting. I posit that they are losing their base. They are attempting to herd the mindless eaters back to them.
We turned in our high-density foam mattress after 18 months as it no longer felt flat and both my wife and I were getting up at night to go sleep on the couch ...by choice. We decided to go back to a high-end conventional mattress; top of the line Stearns and Foster. We tried the sleep number bed some time ago and didn't really care for it.
I know, you have to give it more than a few minutes and you have to find your ideal setting. We preferred something more traditional this time around. Let's pick up this discussion in about three months and I'll tell you how we're doing. :-)
I think it’s because they panic and think of the immediate controversy, rather than looking at the long term. In all the companies I’ve worked for, courage is probably the rarest trait I’ve come across. Most bosses I’ve known would have thrown me under the bus in a heartbeat had I been in Rush’s situation.
