This reminds me of the Stockholm Syndrome, but more specifically it is part of the modern-day liberal sickness which is greatly weakening the West. One of the most glaring symptoms of this sickness is to sympathize with terrorists while at the same time despising your fellow countrymen and women who happen to hold traditional/conservative views.
My guess is that people like her feel compelled to sympathize with terrorists because conservatives are opposed to the terrorists and it’s their way of doing whatever they can to not be on the same side as us. Also they know it ticks us off big time, so that’s an added bonus. But more than that i think it’s because to the left the only real war is the war against the right and thus the only real enemies are people like Rush and Cheney and Newt and us Freepers.
The bottom line is that most of these sympathizers spend more time trying to understand what makes a terrorist tick than they do us. They need to ask themselves why that is. Why do they automatically hate a conservative but not a fanatical terrorist who wants either to convert them or kill them if they won’t convert?
